M.I.A. fires back at NYT Journalist Lynn Hirschberg as she promised with audio clips from her interview and a new song titled "Haters". This all started after the paper published a story that was not to M.I.A. liking written by Hirschberg, Maya hit back by posting Hirschberg's personal cell phone number on her Twitter on Thursday.

She later stated on twitter, "NEWS IS AN OPINION! UNEDITED VERSION OF THE INTERVIEW WILL BE ON neetrecordings THIS MEMORIAL WEEKEND!!! >>>>" And as promised, M.I.A. delivered on her blog under the heading "War Crimes and French Fries". 

blackbookmag.com talked to super producer Pharrell Williams about the situation and before they even explained the details of Maya’s Twitter antics to him, Pharrell exclaimed, “She’s an OG!” at the very mention of Hirschberg’s name. After hearing the story, Williams, who was delightfully shocked, said bluntly. “She fucked with the wrong person.”  "Do you have any idea how much weight Lynn pulls!?”. Oh Teh Drama! Here's hoping that Maya made the right move as this story continues to get crazier and crazier.
