We've already seen the likes of The Black Keys, Julian Casablancas and Modest Mouse's contribution to the Rave on Buddy Holly album which is due out June 28th via Fantasy Records/Concord Music Group. Today we get another two cuts from the album from My Morning Jacket and Florence & The Machine.
MMJ do a loyal cover to Holly's first posthumous 1960 release, "True Love Ways" which you can give a spin at the bottom via funnily enough, Spin. Then we have an added bonus from Florence & The Machine via TwentyFourBit/Nowness. She also features on the album and went for a cover of his track, "Not Fade Away". The video features some fun both in the Studio and on stage from Florence and I was surprised that it is a nice showcase of her vox. Plus it's not "Dog Days Are Over" which is always a nice change. Just sayin'.
Check them both out and don't forget to pick up the album on its release later in the month.
