Life just keeps getting better for Justin Vernon and co. Bon Iver's self-titled sophomore album has only been out on shelves and in digital libraries for a week, and in that week it has made its way to the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. The band's sophomore outing sold an impressive 104,000 copies in its first week, beating out heavyweights Adele and Lady Gaga. The album was also the best-selling digital release on iTunes this week, and even debuted at No. 4 on the UK charts. Along with this great news, not to mention fantastic live performances of "Calgary" and "Skinny Love" on The Colbert Report, "Holocene" on Fallon, as well as glowing reviews, I can only imagine how happy the band is.
Congratulations Mr. Vernon, and a job well done.
