Earlier in the week we got news that Coldplay were releasing brand new material and it came from nowhere after teasing fans for days with lyrics videos via Twitter! Today is the day that the new material hits the radiowaves, and the internet. I feel that Coldplay are a love/hate kind of band. If you like a track you love it but if they don't hit the right buttons it just doesn't gel with me, I've never been huge on them. The news of new material always gains attention though, and today Radio One got the world exclusive play (kind of as an Italian station cheekily played in 30 mins early) of their new track via Fearne Cotton and the station dedicating 30 minutes to the band and the history.
You can now stream the new single, "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" below and be the judge of Chris Martin and Co's new sound. Kind of. Sounds like Coldplay to me with a different spin on it. I liked the little breakdown right before it finishes though and the guitar tone and drums were unexpected.
