[Listen] The Streets - "Puzzled By People"

This week on Radio One in the UK, Zane Lowe has Mike Skinner AKA The Streets' soon to be released album Computers and Blues as his record of the week. Over the past few weeks we've had the pleasure of hearing his mixtape titled Cyberspace and Reds to listen to repeatedly but as the release date to his official last LP draws nearer Zane is playing a track a night. On Monday he premiered this track titled, "Puzzled By People". Taken from his new album Computers and Blues drops Feb 7th via 679/Atlantic but until then enjoy this track.

By now you need to be familiar with Mr Skinner's work but if not let me google that for you. Some things, you can google, Mike is one of those things, but as he points out others answers are not se easy to find. Enjoy the track below.

[Listen] Mogwai - "Hasenheide"

Take a listen B-Side from Mogwai's single "Rano Pano", which goes by the name of "Hasenheide". It starts off softly with thumping drums, slowly but surely building up layers of intensity and layering the guitars nicely before the Fuzz Pedals are stomped and the songs kicks in and knocks you back in your chair. The track has a way of sucking you in before pushing you back out again. Between it's chilled out verses you have a few moments to come back down before the guitars and drums are played as hard as humanly possible taking you on an instrumental journey. Check it out below and you can buy the 7" single here. The Happy Humpday continues!

[Listen] Tiga - "Mind Dimension" (The Bloody Beetroots Remix)

To coincide with the release of The Bloody Beetroots' Best Of… Remixes they have been very generous and offered up this remix of the Tiga track "Mind Dimension". The album features a load of great mixes for the likes of The Chemical Brothers, that cute little songstress Robyn, as well as MSTRKRFT. Grab yourself the download below to get a little taste of what's to come on the album. Be sure to look out for the remixes release when it drops, romantically, onto shelves on February the 14th. Isn't that nice?

[Watch] Peter, Bjorn & John - "Second Chance" Live on Conan 2/1/11

A few weeks ago we got our first taste of the new Peter, Bjorn & John album with track "Breaker, Breaker" being released via video from the guys. And, in turn we thanked them endlessly for letting us bask in the music, but then shortly after we also got another taste of honey when they released, "Second Chance". Last night they graced the stage on Conan O'Brien's late night slot, and as so many top notch bands before them pulled out a stellar performance. Check them out at the top performing "Second Chance" which is taken from their sixth studio album Gimme Some which drops March 28th in the UK and 29th for the US via StarTime International. Good start to Hump Day if you ask me? Thanks to The Audio Perv for this.

[Watch] The National - "Conversation 16" Live on Letterman 01/02

Check out The National rocking the Letterman stage last night, performing their track "Conversation 16" taken fromtheir great album, High Violet which featured in a lot of Top albums of 2010 lists. Now is it just me or do I spot another familier face on stage but in the wrong band setup? As you may or may not know, Richard Parry of Arcade Fire is also good friends with the guys in The National and has helped them out with parts in the past and stepped to the plate again last night.

Check out why The National have a good rep on the live circuit singing their meloncholy to the nation/world, depending on how you see it. And the combo of two great bands stepping into different setups is also a nice thing to see. Enjoy.
