Dangerous Thoughts (Black Thought x Danger Mouse) Still In The Works x The Money Making Jam Boys On The Way

Looks like Rome and the new U2 album might not be the only Danger Mouse projects we get this year. The Legendary Roots Crew frontman, Black Thought announced various projects hes been working on in a video last year with Strictly Fitted. One was the release of The Roots latest LP How I Got Over, the next was making music with his side crew Money Making Jam Boys (who consist of Black Thought, Dice Raw, Truck North, P.O.R.N. and STS) and lastly was the Dangerous Thoughts collaboration with Danger Mouse.

So far we've seen the release for How I Got Over and on February 3rd, clothing brand 10.Deep will be releasing the Money Making Jam Boys mixtape,  The Prestige: Jam Boy Magic. So hopefully that means a release for Dangerous Thoughts can't be too far away, but then again The Roots' MC announced this collaboration several years ago stating it would release likely around the same time as DangerDOOM's The Mouse and the Mask. But hey, 2 out of 3 so far is a good indication of things to come. Check out the first taste (courtesy of Hypetrak) of the Money Making Jam Boys mixtape, The Prestige: Jam Boy Magic with the track "Day Job" produced by Khari Ferrari. The mixtape will be available for download at 10Deep.com/MMJBMIXTAPE at 12pm on February 3rd.

[Listen] Dr. Dre - "I Need A Doctor" Feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey

Take a listen to another leak from the Dr. Dre camp, this time for the track "I Need A Doctor" which features Eminem and Skylar Grey. A really nice track but the stand out for me is Skylar's voice blasting out over the beat in the chorus. Her vox difinately make this a very radio friendly track as well as a catchy one. In a similar line to Eminem and Rihanna's collaboration last year with "The Way You Lie". A good listen but is this really worthy of all the hype surrounded Dr. Dre's new release? Check it out and decide for yourself below via Hypetrak.

Super Furry Animal's frontman Gruff Rhys has released his second single from his forthcoming solo album Hotel Shampoo titled "Sensations In The Dark." Gruff explains this track as a "feel-good, mariachi-tinged ode to the joys of falling in love with music." Well described. The track is already making its way around radio and will be released on a 12" vinyl and digitally on February 7th. The vinyl release will included an exclusive B-side called "Follow The Sunflower Trail (Theme Tune For A National Strike)." Sweet! Check out the single below, then head over here to preorder Hotel Shampoo before it's Valentine's Day (Feb 14th) release.

[Watch] Wiz Khalifa - "On My Level" Feat .Too $hort

On Thursday we saw Wiz Khalifa perform on George Lopez' show which was a big step for WIz and today a new track has surfaced with a video to go along with it too. Not a bad start to the Weekend, and you can check it out up at the top. A pretty chilled out track featuring Too $hort, and a video full of plenty of weed smokin'. Have a chill and put your feet up. Maybe hold back on the Champagne and blunts though. It's still early!

[Watch] Foo Fighters - "These Days" Live @ Velvet Jones Club, Santa Barbara

Obviously there's a lot of buzz around the Foo Fighters at the moment with the announcement that their new album is complete. Not only that we've had not one, but two sneak peeks at new music from the album! In recent days the band has been tweeting a lot about how much they've been rehearsing with tweets such as : "Ahhh.......so nice to play the entire record, front to back, in sequence, live as a band every day in the rehearsal space.......sigh....." followed by "...can't wait to do it on a real stage.....;)". Amidst a load of pictures also being uploaded to the track I had a feeling something was about to go down.

Last night my thoughts were confirmed with just 3 tweets. Firstly just a nohter stating how excited they were to play the songs in a set "...ahhh.....like I said before....sure feels nice to be able to play the new album front to back like a set list......" and a few minutes later "...hope we get a chance to do that soon.....". Not even an hour after this tweet an announcement was made that Foo Fighters were to be playing the Velvet Jones club, Santa Barbara along with The Bronx in support. With tix going for just $20 they were snapped up quickly and the show sold out!

With the show selling out so quickly and it being only one ticket per person, or their could be the old geographical problems of being in a different country you may not have got to see them debut new material. Fear not though as we have a very good quality video up at the top of Dave and co playing "These Days" from the new album. It feels good to see the whole band up on stage again but the track wasn't as heavy asYou might of expected from what Dave's been saying recently. A classic Foo's sound and a catchy track none-the-less. Check it out at the top and keep your eyes peeled towards our good friends over at Antiquiet as they were lucky enough to be there and a full review will be up soon! If you missed it the other day head on over here to take a look at Dave's home studio and a tour from the man himself.
