[Listen] Peter, Bjorn and John – "Second Chance"

Looks like Peter, Bjorn and John are feeling generous and have let loose another preview of their much anticpated sixth studio album Gimme Some. The album which is set to be released for us to all soak in and enjoy from March onwards will be the follow up to 2009's Living Thing. Now, the track they have thrown on to the interwebz is “Second Chance” which is sure to cause a bit of a buzz prior to the LP release.

We've recently also had a listen to another album track in the form of  “Breaker, Breaker”, which was a very nice listen. Hit play on "Secnd Chance" below and take a listen to our third dose of Swedish music for the day. Let the countown to new Peter, Bjorn and John music begin. So far, from what I've heard I'll give it three thumbs up!

[Listen] R.E.M. - "Überlin"

Collapse Into Now, R.E.M.'s new album is their fifteenth studio offereing, yes fifteenth! And we've not been short of previews in the form of "Oh My Heart", "It Happened Today" and "Discoverer". Today however, via The Huffington Post you can take a listen to the European single "Überlin" making the wait 'til the album release a little easier. A bit more sombre and slower than previous tracks but still worth a listen. In relation to the track Producer Jacknife Lee said the following:

"I love this song. There's a melancholy in it that only R.E.M. (can) articulate. The demo of the song was very simple and beautiful, and we decided to keep it that way. We tracked this in New Orleans. The vocals and some percussion we did in Nashville.... This song took some beating into shape. The bridge had a vocal at one stage, but the music conveyed what he was saying anyway, so we deleted it... It was really good fun."

Their album has been set for a March 7th release in the UK and a day later elsewhere on March the 8th (Pre-order it over here). So in the mean time check out the Euro single uptop.

[Watch] Lykke Li - "Untitled" (Video)

Earlier today we posted up a remix of the Swedish indie-pop singer, Lykke Li's track "I Follow Rivers". And to add to your dosage of Lykke take a look at this rather unusual 3 minute video she posted on her vimeo last Friday.  I don't really know how to describe it or tell you about it. The black and white finish on the video along with the backdrop kind of looks similar to the cover of her new album.

No official word regarding the video and wether it is just a preview or a promotional clip for the new album Wounded Rhymes, which as mentioned earlier drops in stores on February 28th and a day later on March 1st over in the US. You can head over here to pre-order yourself a copy. The video seems to have sparked a few arguments and exchanges in the Youtube comments. I'll leave it to them I just liked seeing some more visuals from her. Just me?
