We've not had any new material from Ellie Goulding for quite some time. Her debut LP, Lights, was a huge success in the UK and she went on to release it Stateside under a new name of, Bright Lights, which came with an added few tracks. Heck, she even played the Royal Wedding last year in the UK. She must be doing something right! Today we get some new sounds from her, she's taken on "Hanging On" from Active Child and posted on her Twitter account: "Here's the beginning of my new journey. Enjoy and share responsibly." The track features another UK chart topper, Tinie Tempah. Check it out below. I have a feeling we're going to be getting a lot of new material from young Ellie in the coming 12 months.
Active Child's "Hanging On" has been given the official video treatment and yesterday, Gizmodo premiered the video which sees lots of natural imagery and fly fishing oddly enough. Following the trials of an older, and a younger gentleman surrounded by nature. All the running water from the river certainly matches up to the delicate instrumentation work in the song really well and the song will put you into a light slumber. Beautiful stuff. See what you make of it for yourselves over on Gizmodo.
Another day, another nice sounding remix to wrap your ears around. Today's comes from CFCF, who has decided to take on Active Child's You Are All I See featuring track and a personal favourite, "High Priestess". The mix itself is pretty minimal and is a welcome humpday easy listen. Getting back into this new year and work thing is tough, huh?! Hope you guys are finding it a little easier with the help of some good new music. Hit play and enjoy.
Our buddy over at Listen Before You Buy points us into the direction of yet another new Active Child track for you guys to enjoy. The track is set to feature on the deluxe version of the album You Are All I See which is set for release next week on November the 1st. Give the spine tingling track a spin below and if you like what you hear go pick up the deluxe version next week!
