We got to see Win Butler and Arcade Fire show why everyone loves them so much not too long ago when they performed on Austin City Limits. This weekend Fleet Foxes and Joanna Newsom were the guests of honour and brought along some tantalising performances. Fleet Foxes performed some tracks off of their latest LP Helplessness Blues as well as a few older tracks from the self titled LP, "Your Protector" and "Blue Ridge Mountains" both make an appearance. Joanna Newsom also played a number of tracks, three to precise. Two from Have One On Me and album opener from The Milk-Eyed Mender. Watch the show at the top of the page.
Well isn't this a delight for the ears. It's always nice to see bands/artists you like giving the old doff of the cap to a fellow performer in the form of a great sounding cover (there are the occasional howlers too but we'll turn a blind eye to those). Recently band Fleet Foxes covered Robyn's "Dancing On My own" and the results are pretty damn impressive. See what you make of their take on the song below. (Via Fleet Foxes Sing)
UPDATE: Yes, we realized we goofed. This song was recorded by a band that covers songs in a Fleet Foxes style. It's not the actual band. Whoops...
Fleet Foxes have let loose this very nice looking video for their track "The Shrine/The Argument" from their album, Helplessness Blues. The video itself was directed by Robin Pecknold's brother Sean and he also did some of the animation. All in all if you're looking for a great way to spend 8+ minutes of your day, this is it. Let your eyes do the work and you, well, you sit back and relax.
Helplessness Blues is out now.
Check out another great performance from last nights TV roundup and this time it's from those folk loving bearded men, Fleet Foxes. They performed "Grown Ocean" from their great sounding album, Helplessness Blues for the audience of the David Letterman show. Check it out at the top courtesy of The Audio Perv.
Our buddy Bryce over at 107.7 The End has delivered the goods once again, today you can listen to Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold performing a brand new track live. Recorded during the bands show at Seattle's Paramount Theater Robin is said to have taken back to the stage during the encore all on his lonesome and delivered this performance of a track (currently) titled "I Let You". You can hear the audio over at 107.7 The End or there's a video at the top via This Is Not A Competition But I'm Winning.

First up for your post festival viewing is the Fleet Foxes set which can be enjoyed up at the top. A nice mix of songs from the band including some from their latest release Helplessness Blues which you can grab a copy of over here.
