[Listen] Gallows - 'Gallows' (Full Album Stream)

I've always respected Gallows as a band. They were one of the first gigs I checked out back in Sheffield years ago and the energy they had/have in a live setting is intense. Last year they parted ways with frontman Frank Carter who now has a new project, Pure Love, and Wade MacNeil of Alexisonfire stepped in and the results are pretty damn impressive. Not many bands can survive the loss of a frontman but Gallows have thrived and fought through it with great success. I've had the album on heavy repeat for a few weeks and it's a full-throttle machine of riffs and chugging bass. It's well worth a Friday listen and if you really like it you can pick it up on Monday when it's released.

Regarding the LP the band have said:

"This our statement of intent, our laugh in the face of those who said Gallows were done when in reality we're just warming up. We couldn't feel more vindicated and proud."

Check out their tour dates after the jump.

[Watch] Gallows - "Last June" (Official Video)

Last week out of nowhere Gallows blasted onto the scene with a brand new track and the announcement of a brand new self titled album set for release on September the 10th. The band have now uploaded a video for "Last June" which features snapshots of the band playing live at Download if I'm not mistaken from the mud on Wade's face. The live footage is put alongside footage from the UK riots and police last year and sits alongside the live footage surpassingly well. Check it out at the top and grab the download of the track here.

Last night on BBC Radio one, Zane Lowe played something fans had been waiting for since "True Colours" 40 seconds worth of goodness got everyone a little hot under the collar. "Mondo Chaos" is a track that should definitely keep people happy until it's released digitally on November 28th in the UK prior to the EP's release on December the 5th.

Gallows have upped the first taste of their new lineup since their mad man Frank Carter parted ways just over a month ago. It was a weird one hearing that Frank was leaving, for me, seeing Gallows in their early days as a teenager I remember the energy Frank could transpire to the crowd, the pure crazy that dripped from his pasty frame. This new track with Wade MacNeil formerly of Alexisonfire is our first sample of the new direction the band are about to embark upon. In short, it's 37 seconds of pure adrenalin. The sound is different, and they've gone with the name "True Colours", although I'm sure a lot of fans will disagree it is their true colours, this is time for people to open their minds and accept the new line up. This is Gallows. You can download it over here.
