Quentin Dupieux, better known to music lovers everywhere as Mr. Oizo's flim Rubber had a premiere screening at the Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood this weekend. The bizarre film tells a the story of a psychotic tire that telepathically kills everything in its path. Crazy right? Along with creating and directing the flim, Oizo created the film's score with fellow Ed Banger Labelmate Gaspard Augé who is one half of the awesome electro dance powerhouse Justice.
Take a listen to 2 of the tracks "Everything Is Fake" & "Room 16"(combined into one longer track) from the upcoming soundtrack which releases this Tuesday.
Yesterday Ed Banger released Rubber, a new EP from Mr. Oizo and Justice's Gaspard Augé which is part of the score to the film of the same name Rubber, directed by Mr. Oizo (real name: Quentin Dupieux) and featuring Augé. Check out the video for the title track "Rubber" above and take a listen to another track off the album "Tricycle Express" which i think sounds more like a Justice track.
Gaspard Auge of Justice joins Mr. Oizo to work on the score for his short film Rubber that is about about a psychotic tire that telepathically kills everything in its path (seriously.) The movie is directed by Quentin Dupieux aka Mr. Oizo and was recently debuted at this years Cannes Film Festival. Check out one of the tracks from the film's score titled "Tricycle Express" below. This song feels like it should be on the next Tron film along with Daft Punk.
