Birmingham seems to be flourishing with new bands at the moment and a personal favourite of mine from the Midlands are Jaws. The band have been hectically touring after an even busier summer and because of that we've not really heard too much from them. Not that we'd forgot, you know, it's just sometimes things are out of sight so they're out of mind... Back to being in sight though and they've released a video for their recent single "Gold" which is an absolute belter of a tune. The clip actually does a decent job to show them playing night after night around the country having a whale of a time. Excited for more from these young guns in the coming year(s). Check it.
We've mentioned JAWS, via EP Milkshake which featured the great sounding "Friend Like You", "Surround You", "Stay In" and "Breeze". Today we get a remix of "Toucan Surf" which also appeared on their EP, and for me it was the stand out track. The track will feature as the B-side to "Gold" which is released on the 29th of July.
Along with that, if you'd like to catch these guys live, they've just announced a UK tour set for September. Check out the dates below.

They're set to release an EP titled Milkshake which features the already heard "Friend Like You", "Surround You", and "Stay In". This track is the last little piece of the puzzle. Lovely laid back reverb filled guitars with lyrics that'll make you long for the sun to come out and actually stay out. Give it a spin below.

We've shared several songs from JAWS at the back end of last year and they seem to have matured a bit in their sound 3 months on as they return with a track titled "Friend Like You". Their laid back sound is perfect afternoon listening as you wind down from whatever you've been doing (or not doing) in the office today.
The track is set to feature on their newly announced EP, Milkshake that's set to be released on the 22nd of April digitally and on 12" vinyl. Nice. It'll feature the previously heard "Surround You", "Stay In" and the this track along with some new stuff. Check out the track listing below the new song below.
Milkshake EP Tracklist
3. Toucan Surf
4. Friend Like You
5. Stay In
6. Surround You
Not too long ago we introduced you to a Birmingham band called JAWS through their song "Surround You" and today we get the video fro the other track from the double a-side titled "Stay In". The video was filmed in a garage somewhere in the "town of B" and is a fish-eye lens trip through the darkness of the small room. Check it out at the top and look out for the tracks when they're released on the 3rd of December via Rattlepop. You can pre-order it here.
Humbling from Birmingham, JAWS are making a bit of noise down in that part of the UK. With that in mind they've offered up a newly recorded track titled "Surround You" which is perfect for forgetting the ever darkening sky outside your window. However grey it may be outside these guys manage to make it a little brighter with lyrics about the sun burning their eyes I only wish I could say the same. But hey, if you can take 4 minutes from your day and let these boys take you there instead, why not!
It'll be release digitally on the 3rd of December Via Rattlepop
