[Listen] Rammstein - "Mein Land" (Mogwai Remix)

I remember the days when me and friends would be in German lessons singing Rammstein at the top of our lungs to then be given detention for inadvertently shouting obscenities at our teachers. That was some 10 years ago and although I now don't go around shouting abuse in German, Rammstein are still around. They've now also been given the remix treatment from Scottish rockers Mogwai. The original version of this new track will feature on Rammstein’s upcoming release titled Made in Germany 1995-2011 which is set for release on December 6th via Vagrant Records. Hat tip to CoS for the heads up.

[Listen] Mogwai - "Get To France"

A new track from Scottish rockers Mogwai has appeared online that goes by the name of "Get To France". The track will appear on the bands upcoming Earth Division EP. It's a piano led track that will help you wind down after the day you've had, however stressful or stress free it may have been. That's not to say the track isn't intense and full of emotion, it is, but compared to the heavy distortion and guitar led tracks you may have been liking from Hardcore Wil Never Die, But You Will.

Give the track a listen below courtesy of Listen Before You Buy and look out for the EP which is released on September 12th.

[Listen] Mogwai - "George Square Thatcher Death Party" (Session Version)

On the recent Mogwai single release for their track, "San Pedro", they included a nice session track version of "George Square Thatcher Death Party" which also features on their latest studio LP Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. Down at the bottom you can enjoy a great version of the track from Glasgow's finest. The bass and drum intro will have you wanting to get up and dance. The broken and effect filled vox sit next to the fuzz filled guitar and synth beautifully.

A great Sunday listen to brighten up the ever dulling sky and have you forgetting where you are for at least three and a half minutes.

[Watch] Mogwai - "San Pedro" (Video)

Check out the new video from Mogwai for their track "San Pedro" and I must say it is more than a little intriguing to watch on a bright Sunday afternoon. It features a dark coated gentleman walking through the snowy streets. Cutting to shots of passers by, and the city scenery it we're left constantly watching the back of the mysterious character always left just out of shot is the man's features and face. Take a look for yourself to see what I mean, it teases you all the way to the end when you finally think the camera is about to pan around to his face. I really like the video and it fits in well with the instrumental track from Glasgow's finest, Mogwai. The track features on their latest album, Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will which you can pick up over here.
