Murs is back and the dreads are gone. Murs is set to release his upcoming debut on Damon Dash's BluRoc Records, Love & Rockets Vol. 1: The Transformation on October 11th and after a few teaser videos, he presents us with the first single off the upcoming, the relationship driven track "Remember 2 Forget" produced by Ski Beatz. Living Legends emcee and one half of the group Felt (Along with Slug of Atmosphere), Murs released the long awaited sequel to his 2002 EP Varsity Blues at last weekend's Paid Dues Festival. The title track, "Varsity Blues" produced by Aesop Rock, was previously released the beginning of this year to hype up the album's release.
Unfortunately, the album has only released on CD at the Paid Dues venue and we have no word on when a digital release or non tour physical release will be set. But the good news, you can check out another track from the EP titled "Bummed Out Blues" featuring former Fall Out Boy Patrick Stump below.
Any time old Jukies get back together to collab on new music it takes me back. Before Aesop Rock produced MURS & Slug's recent classic FELT 3: A Tribute To Rosie Perez, Aes and Murs linked up on classic tracks like "You're Dead To Me" and "Happy Pills". Now, thanks to our friends over at 900bats.com, we get another Aesop Rock produced MURS track. Check out "Varsity Blues 2" in the player below and grab a download in exchange for an email.
Check out the new video for "I Used To Luv H.E.R." from MURS & 9th Wonder's 3rd release Fornever above. MURS and 9th should just make albums together forever.

Our good buddies and favorite producer and MC duo, Grieves and Budo, drop a nice little treat for fans of them and Felt 3 (Murs, Slug and Aesop Rock). Definitely check this one out!
"I love the Felt series that Slug and Murs have been churning out over the past 8 years. I noticed that the acapellas and instrumentals for the 3rd installment in the series had been released to the public. I had an idea. I brought the idea to Grieves. We decided to make it a reality. 5 remixes later, we sent the finished product to Rhymesayers. They liked it, and thought it would be nice to share with the public. Grieves and I wholeheartedly agreed. A couple of weeks later, here we are. Grieves and Budo present: A Tribute to Felt 3. Please download the full record. It's free, and I'm really proud of this one!" - Budo
