The Big Pink have just unveiled the new video for their single "Love Your Mind". The video starts off in monochrome before flashes of colour and strobe lighting appear to sit alongside the track in a jilted and eye catching manner. The track is taken from The Big Pink's latest release on 4AD, Future This, which is out now
The Big Pink have offered up a remix of Ladyhawke's comeback track "Black, White & Blue" which is taken from their forthcoming record, Anxiety. They've warped it into a thumping warped out track that sounds oh so good as it pulses in your headphones with its heavy drum beats and distorted looped vocals. See what I mean for yourselves below.
The good folk over at ListenBeforeYouBuy point towards a 4AD session that slipped so easily through our fingers but thanks to them, we've got it for you now! The Big Pink's session features performances of two new cuts that we're more than familiar with, "Stay Gold" and "Hit The Ground (Superman)". As well as that they threw in "Rubbernecking", "Give It Up" and a fan favourite for a live setting, "Velvet". Pretty impressive stuff. The band were also in BBC's Live Lounge on 6 Music and Radio One this week performing cuts from the new album as well as a mystery cover. We'll have that little treat for you later though.
Their new album Future This was released yesterday in the UK and hits stores in the US today. Handy that.
Well this is a nice little surprise isn’t it!? The Big Pink returned late last year with their single "Stay Gold" and now the ever vigilant ListenBeforeYouBuy points us in the direction of a full stream to the follow up to their 2009 album, A Brief History Of Love, the synth heavy Future This. Hit play above and look out for the albums release on January the 17th. That’s next Monday for those of you still without your 2012 calendar. If you head down to the shops you'll get a bargain as the Calendar salesmen are desperate to get rid of their stock. Who wants a calendar 3 months into the year? No-one, that’s who! Preview the album firstly though at the top.
It may have only been a few days since we heard The Big Pink's follow up to "Stay Gold" with "Hit The Ground (Superman)" but they've followed it up quickly with the official visual. It features some split screen action and a lot of slo-mo. It's all cool looking. Give it a look at the top and peep some current tour dates over here, be quick though there's only a few UK dates left this year.
We already got to hear the catchy comeback single from The Big Pink in the shape of "Stay Gold" and last night Zane Lowe on his Radio One show got the first play of their second track from sophomore LP, Future This. If you missed the premiere last night don't fret, our friends over at Listen Before You Buy were on the case and managed to snag a nice quality rip of the track which you can now listen to below.
The band are currently on tour across the UK with a few remaining dates. These guys pack a punch live so check them out for a chance to preview some more new material.
AraabMuzik have given the drum and echo filled remix treatment to the comeback single from The Big Pink, "Stay Gold". The mix also features some additional vocals from Danny Brown. The Big Pink's new album Future This is the follow up to the bands breakthrough debut, A Brief History of Love, which dropped in '09. Remember "Dominos"? How could you forget after Minaj tarnished it eh!
