[News] Black Moth Super Rainbow Tease New Album, Announce Tour & Set To Collab w/The Flaming Lips

Our favorite weirdo, psychedelic band, Black Moth Super Rainbow, have been hard at work on their next full length album tentatively titled Psychic Love Damage. Frontman TOBACCO has been recently teasing fans via his Twitter with video clips of demos in progress from the recording sessions of the new album and has recently released a 40 sec teaser clip featuring more demos of songs from the upcoming album on the band's Soundcloud page, which you can listen to below.

Sadly, the new album will not be ready until sometime next year. However, the band has also linked up with Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips to release another Flaming Lips collaboration EP, which Coyne recently confirmed with during Death Cab For Cutie's interview with Spinner, hopefully by the year's end. But for those that cannot wait for either release and just want to hear some sweet ass tunes from the band, you can catch the band on their Psychic Love Damage Pre-Game Tour with Marshmallow Ghosts this fall and hopefully they'll debut some new songs from the upcoming LP. Check out the tour dates after the jump.

[Watch & Listen] TOBACCO - "Blow Your Heart (Demo)"

Black Moth Super Rainbow mastermind, Tobacco premiered yet another new tune in the works from his follow up album to 2010's Maniac Meat, Spirits of Perversion last night on Sirius XMU. The new tune "Blow Your Heart" was first previewed at this year's Austin Psych Fest (above) and now you can check out the demo that aired on the radio below.

Sirius XMU stated, "TOBACCO just emailed us a new track he's working on. Ima gonna debut it on Sirius XMU ch. 35 an hour from now. It's called Blow Your Heart. If you try to find this track online, get ready for a lot of links about how tobacco will actually blow out your heart: http://bit.ly/opHQHk It doesn't exist online yet, so you might want to listen. It's good. For reals."

It's true the track is awesome and if you attempted to search for it much like I did, you probably found nothing but health advisary links. Check it out below and also make sure you check out other new tune which came out last week "Streaker" featuring Beck collaborator Brian LeBarton. With 2 solid solo albums in the bag, you can tell by the sounds of these 2 new tracks that album 3 is gonna be a banger. If you don't have the first two Tobacco albums or any BMSR albums, we highly suggest you pick them up here.

[Listen] Black Moth Super Rainbow - "Old Yes"

As we announced earlier last month, Psychedelic rockers Black Moth Super Rainbow are set to reissue their classic 2007 album, Dandelion Gum, which will feature 14 bonus track titled "Extra Flavor"  which are tracks from Dandelion Gum-Era Sessions. Some of the bonus tracks were previously released on BMSR collaboration with The Octopus Project titled The House Of Apples & Eyeballs, others were released by BMSR on an EP titled Bonus Drippers which was a free download put out around the time their EP Drippers was released and 4 tracks are exclusive to this bonus album's release.

One of the 4 tracks isn't completely exclusive however. The track "Old Yes" was released on an extreme limited edition album titled All My Gooey Brothers & Sisters in which only 50 copies were released. The album was set for sale at midnight on the BMSR website without announcement, therefore, only a handful of lucky lurkers got a copy of the album. Tobacco stated on his facebook that the album was "a record that's an experiment in seeing if music sold on the internet can be kept off the internet" which rumors circulated that the album's were watermarked and/or that Tobacco himself attached a letter to each copy informing people not to share the record online.

However, with the bonus release coming up we get our first taste of that fabled record which may or may not ever come out with the song "Old Yes". Check it out in the player below and make sure you pick up the re-issue and bonus EP when it drops next Tuesday via Graveface Records.
