[News] Bestival Announces Line-Up Additions; Beck & Foals join Outkast as headliners

Bestival has just announced its initial line-up and it's going to be hard to beat in terms of ending your summer on a high in 2014. Beck and Foals will top the bill at the event, joining the returning duo of Outkast, as announced last week. The rest of the acts announced are Disclosure, Major Lazer, Sam Smith, CHVRCHES, London Grammar, Wild Beasts, Caribou, Clean Bandit and Laura Mvula.

As is tradition with the festival, it will have a theme and this year it's 'Desert Island Disco'. I think opens up a few more options compared to 2013's nautical 'HMS Bestival' theme so get your thinking caps on if you're planning on grabbing a ticket.

Bestival takes place from September 4th-7th on the Isle of Wight and tickets are on sale now.

[2013 Year In Review] Shey & Kibbe's Picks From 2013

It's always hard at this time of year to put together an end of year list. Last year we opted just to not do a list at all. This year we thought we'd do share our personal favourites and stand outs from 2013. None are in any particular order and by no means are we snubbing any who aren't listed. These selections simply represent the records we've constantly had on since their release. Albums that we've truly championed. We considered ranking a vat of albums that would include ones we didn't care about, but it doesn't feel very "us" to do that anymore. Each come with a little tid-bit about why we've put them in our top 5. We also have a few honourable mentions, because narrowing down the albums we've listened to most over the year was tough. So without further ado, make the jump and check out our picks for 2013. Or don't, I think between the rising popularity of Buzzfeed and the time of year you all may be suffering from list fatigue.

[Watch] Peace - "White Noise" (Disclosure Cover) in Radio One's Live Lounge

Radio One's Live Lounge has been the place we've had some delightful covers over the years. This week was no different as Peace took to lounge playing their infectious track "Lovesick". After that they chose to cover Disclosure's huge hit, "White Noise", which feature son their recently released album Settle. Putting their own twist on the song, they add some funky bass lines and lovely sounding guitars that result in an equally dance worthy hit of its own. There's even some added Pink Floyd goodness thrown in as well. Marvelous. Check it out above.

Flume decided to take their combination of dancefloor-ready beats and Doolittle's yearning vocals and completely change the formula. The result is a near-five minute remix of bombastic bass and echoing, glitchy vocal samples. Just wait for the one-minute mark, it is purely awesome. Stream the remix alongside the original below.
