You can watch live footage of his live performances after the jump.

[Watch] Earl Sweatshirt's First-Ever Interview Since Return

This morning, Odd Future's most reclusive MC Earl Sweatshirt was interviewed by Peter Rosenburg of Hot 97, joined by Tyler, The Creator and Taco. In his first interview since returning to the music world, a shy Earl discussed what it was like missing out on the incredible success the hip hop outfit has seen in the last year. He also went futher to open up about the truth behind his time away, clearing up rumours that it was because his mother disagreed with his music. Here's what he had to say:

Motherfuckers think that my mom heard a song and was like, No, I’m not fucking with this song. I was fucking up. Outside of music, music aside from everything, I was fucking up."

The entirety of the ten-minute video is available to watch above (via The Fader). As well, you can watch the ten-minute video for "Oldie," the closing track on the just released OF Tape Vol. 2, after the jump. OF Tape Vol. 2 is out now.

[Listen] Odd Future feat. Earl Sweatshirt - "Oldie"

Odd Future's latest release, the compilation OF Tapes Vol. 2, is out in a matter of days, and as The NJ Underground points out, the album closer "Oldie" features an appearance by none other than Earl Sweatshirt. This contradicts with the hip hop outfit's statement that the famed member would not be featured on the album. Nonetheless, in no way is it a bad thing, so give the track a listen below.

OF Tapes Vol. 2 is out on March 20th via Odd Future Records.

UPDATE: An impromptu music video was filmed during a photo shoot with Terry Richardson. The video is available to watch after the jump.

[Listen] Earl Sweatshirt - "Home"

Famed Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt, who was the subject of much deliberation and speculation after a siginificant absence. Earl is noted as being one of the more talented members of the Odd Future collective, and now, it seems, the young rapper has returned. A newly launched Twitter account made by Earl Sweatshirt gave the idea that the rapper was indeed home, and that if he got 50,000 followers by the end of the night he would release a brand new song. Well, it didn't take long for the account to reach 50,000 followers, and Earl has let loose a song appropriately titled "Home." You can stream the track at Earl's Terttle Fer website.

UPDATE: You can now stream and download the song below.

[Listen x Download] Hear Earl Sweatshirt's First Ever Song

Earl Sweatshirt, the long, lost member of hip hop collective Odd Future, has only put out one album, his studio debut Earl, but he has become one of the most well-known members of the OFWGKTA collective. Recently, though, one of Earl's tracks has made its way on to the web, and, supposedly, it is first track ever recorded. The song, titled "WattStak," was part of the latest release in the Unreleased mixtape series compiled by OFWGKTA fan site Odd Future Talk. According to OFT, the recording was found in the vaults of Loofy. Loofy recorded the track with Earl Sweathsirt in 2009, back when he was 15-years old and went by the name Sly Tendencies. Here is what Loofy had to say about the song:

Sly’s FIRST SONG….this is the first song he ever recorded, and i remember it was me him and producer Ashton McCreight, our moms were sitting in my front room chatting it up and watching WattStax (old concert featuring a bunch of old black bands and musicians and all that) and as he recorded he tried to keep his voice low..anyway..>>>all the EXTRA LOUD adlibs were by me lol<<<…*disclaimer*: this is all out of love for Thebe…lmao idk how he feels about this song but I love it, like the lyrics are on point like a mutha fucka.. quality is whatever, but thats just because of my dumb ass adlibs….so yeah, this is Sly at his best…the original, WattStax, The Backpackerz, 09, World Playground…”

[Listen] Earl Sweatshirt - "Dat Ass"

FREE EARL! Where ever Earl Sweatshirt may actually be, dead, away at boarding school, maybe even at home playing X-Box, who know. Well today we get a little bit of a treat from a couple years back. Back in 2009 before he became Earl Sweatshirt he went by the name of Sly Tendencies, this is before he was part of OFWGKTA with Tyler and Co. A video appeared yesterday via the Odd Future Tumblr and today we have the track minus the Skateboarding sounds. Cool right? Who knows if we will ever hear more from Earl, if Tyler's tweets saying that Earl's Mom won't let him release anything he made then we could have a long wait on our hands. Rumour has it there are more tracks hidden out there so hopefully someone will feel generous and up them in due course. For now, enjoy some nice flowing Earl Sweatshirt aka Sly Tendencies.
