[Watch] Kanye West Discusses 'Cruel Summer'

The term "collaborative" gets tossed around a lot in the world of music, but rarely does it reach the levels of true collaboration that the Kanye West-led G.O.O.D. Music album Cruel Summer achieved. In a self-released video, 'Ye discusses the album and how the recording process was vastly different than anything he has worked on before. With input from Jay-Z ,Big Sean, Common, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Q-Tip, John Legend, Mr Hudson, Cyhi the Prynce, Teyana Taylor, 2 Chainz, Ghostface Killah, R. Kelly, Raekwon, Ma$e, and many more, the album is the definition of a collaborative effort. Check out the replay above.

[News] Is Kanye West Prepping Another Album for Next Month?

All day, reports have been swirling around the blogosphere of a possible sixth studio LP from Kanye West titled Black American Psycho, with a registered domain displaying the image pictured above. Going further, HipHopWired reported the following:

According to the website www.blackamericanpsycho.com, which is a domain owned by Def Jam Records, Kanye will be dropping what is allegedly is sixth studio album on October 23rd, 2012. Reports are surfacing that the number of artists that flew to Hawaii last month to finish Cruel Summer were actually on the island to work on Black American Psycho and not the group’s compilation album."

While a new Kanye West album would be especially amazing following the release of Cruel Summer, it appears the rumors are false, with the domain www.blackamericanpsycho.com now displaying the following message:

This website is in no way affiliated with Def Jam Records or Kanye West. The Black American Psycho title and the 10.23.2012 release date are fictitious. I apologise for misleading people, I did not expect the site to generate so much traffic and be taken seriously."

For the time being, a sixth LP from 'Ye is unconfirmed, but there's always the possibility that he is in fact prepping a new studio effort. Stay tuned for more information.

[Watch] Surprise Performances from G.O.O.D. Music and Jay Electronica at Made In America Festival

In the world of hip-hop, few people have as much influence and sway as Jay-Z, and his Made In America festival is a true testament of that. The Philadelphia festival has a lot of expectation from across the board, and now that day one is over, all we can say is damn did Jay-Z deliver. Earlier in the day, the Roc Nation head honcho brought out Jay Electronica to perform a surprise set, and below you can watch him perform both "Exhibit A" and "Exhibit C". If that wasn't enough, Jay closed the night out with a special thanks to the city of Philly, brining out Kanye West and the G.O.O.D. Music crew to perform. When Jay-Z comes calling, you best answer. Check out the full set above.

2 Chainz debut album Based On A T.R.U. Story was a bit underwhelming, but one of the highlights was lead single "Birthday Song", a cut that featured Kanye West.
