[Watch] Tennis - "Origins" (Official Video)

Today, Denver, CO indie pop band Tennis released their sophomore album Young & Old, and to celebrate the release, the group has unveiled the brand new video for their single "Origins." Premiering on RollingStone.com, the video sees masked gunmen chasing after an unknown man, all of whom are on skis, through the chilling Rocky Mountains, in a scene that could be taken directly out of old James Bond reels. When asked about the grainy footage, which was all shot painstakingly by the band's friend Richard Law, Tennis leading lady Alaina Moore said, "He [Richard Law] is a master at making original footage look like found footage, if you like that sort of thing, which we do. None of these shots were borrowed," she says. "Every ridiculously old looking frame was painstakingly shot during a snowstorm in the Rockies." Check it out above.

Young & Old is out now via Fat Possum.

[Watch] Tennis - "Origins" (Live Video)

Yesterday we got to hear a new track from Tennis and their forthcoming LP Young & Old, which is due out on February the 14th. How romantic. Today the band release a live video recording of them performing "Origins" and the beautifully shot video is simple in its delivery but a great watch, and a lovely taste of what's to come from the album. It was recorded during a performance in Portland, OR in December at the Doug Fir Lounge. Hopefully we'll get another little preview before the Patrick Carney produced LP drops on Valentines day.

[Listen] Tennis - "Tears in the Typing Pool" (Broadcast Cover)

With the release of their Patrick Carney-produced sophomore LP inching ever closer, Denver-based indie pop group Tennis are doing a fantastic job of keeping their name in the spotlight. Today, the band released a cover of Broadcast's "Tears in the Typing Pool," a song that was originally released on the Burmingham outfit's 2005 album Tender Buttons. Tennis remains faithful to the original song, maybe even playing it a bit too safe. Nonetheless, the cover is a nice gift for a Thursday afternoon, so give it a listen below.

Tennis' sophomore album Young and Old is due out on February 14th via Fat Possum.

[Watch] Tennis - "Deep In The Woods" (Video)

Today, Denver indie pop duo Tennis have let loose the visuals for their song "Deep In The Woods," the b-side to their new single "Origins." The video is a visual interpretation of Shirley Jackson's 1962 novel We Have Always Lived in a Castle, and the combination of the slightly disturbing visuals and the pop sounds makes for a very unique experience. Check out the video for yourself above, courtesy of RollingStone.com.

As well, Tennis is currently on tour with Miniature Tigers, so make sure to take a look at their remaining 2011 tour dates after the jump.
