A few days ago on Tiesto's Club Life Radio Show (show #217 to be exact), the world famous DJ spun a track off of Tommie Sunshine's label of love, Brooklyn Fire's latest compilation called A Fire House Two. During hour two of his show, he spun the track, "What You Want" by Netherland's very own RipTidE.
Sunshine, who has put his heart and soul into starting this label, is so appreciative of all the support that Brooklyn Fire has been seeing lately that he is offering "What You Want" as a free download along with some other goodies if you have a look around on the label's SoundCloud page.
I have been personally enjoying this little electro lovefest and I think you should do the same.
You know what? It's just easier for Tommie Sunshine to explain this mix himself:
"Since the radio is full of mainstream dance music right now, I decided to pull things WAY underground for this mix. The world is operating at a fever-pitch and this is the soundtrack of you closing your eyes on a Saturday night and cutting the cords that hold you to this Earth. This is straight up, psychedelic dance music that is intended to cause a state of disconnection with the real world and its made with ultimate love. Do whatever it is that takes you to that place and turn this the fuck up and play it LOUD!"
And there you have it! It's 24 tracks at a whopping hour and 35 minutes long tracks that will reset your inner dance compass and cleanse you of that whole Duck Sauce on Glee last night experience....what the heck WAS that anyway!?
Have a listen to the mix below, or download it and play it from anywhere. If you care about the track list, you can check that out after the jump.
So when you hear the word "clip" you think maybe 30 seconds max. This is not how Tommie Sunshine operates, thankfully. Judging by the length of this clip at 2:27 that his remix of Don Diablo & Diplo's "Make You Pop", this remix will probably hit around the 5-6 minute or so mark but leave you wishing it went on for a half hour.
According to Sunshine's Soundcloud, this will be part of a remix bundle and release date is TBD.
Fresh out of the oven and hot to the touch, we've got a Gaga remix by the one and only Tommie Sunshine accompanied by his dear friend Jon Kennedy. They're calling themselves WART!ME. The two have been scheming to work together for some time now and this Gaga single was the perfect opportunity for them to kickstart their project together.
Be sure to follow WART!ME on twitter and Soundcloud so you can be the first to know about the other jams they throw down.
NYC's go-to DJ for the best dance jams and remixes, Tommie Sunshine, has dropped a remix of Arcade Fire's "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)". Totally gives the song a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart and it's not obnoxious about it at all. Nice work, Tommie!
