[Listen] tUnE-yArDs and ?uestlove Cover Fela Kuti

The Roots' ?uestlove and tUnE-yArDs have teamed up for a cover of Fela Kuti's "Lady," which is to be included on an upcoming compilation titled Red Hot + FELA. The track is available to stream below, and can also be purchased on iTunes. The compilation is a collaboration between RED, an AIDS charity, and Red Hot Organization, with all proceeds benefitting the charities' battle against AIDS.

According to Billboard, the compilation, which also marks the beginning of the (RED) RUSH TO ZERO campaign, will be released later this fall.

[Watch] St. Vincent and tUnE-yArDs in Conversation

Back & Forth, the new web series from Noisey, kicked off its inaugural episode with a back and forth conversation between Annie Clark of St. Vincent and Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs. The episode sees the two discussing pressing topics such as touring, gender biases, and Clark's upcoming collaboration with Talking Heads frontman David Byrne. Check it out above.

The wonderful Merrill Garbus and tUnE-yArDs have offered up a brand new video for their track "My Country" which is the perfect accompaniment to the upbeat, drum filled beat of the track. It features a lot of kids from Brightworks and the San Francisco Rock Project acting all weird and hyper actively. Much like Merrill, all donning some face-paint of course.

Merrill has also set up a Kickstarter campaign to benefit San Francisco Rock Project details of which can be found over here. I'd advise you to watch the video first though, not only does it put you in a good mood but it makes you miss being a kid more than you already do! FUN.

[Watch] Elephant & Castle feat. tUnE-yArDs - "En Memoria" (Official Video)

Exactly one month ago, Elephant & Castle, the solo project of composer David Vincent Reep, released the track "En Memoria," which featured the vocals of none other than tUnE-yArDs. With Merrill Garbus on board the track was instantly enthralling, with exotic instrumentation and breathtaking ambience all throughout. When extracting the intricate soundscape that Reep has created and transferring that to visual form, it's anything but easy. So, when Timeboy was tasked with creating the visuals for the track, absolute creative insanity was the only way to go. The visuals for the track are psychedelic in every facet possible, and in every way embodies the colourful magnificence of a drug trip. Check it out above, courtesy of Consequence of Sound.

[News] tUnE-yArDs Announces Summer Tour Dates

It seems every few weeks or so we get another announcement that tUnE-yArDs is further supporting her LP w h o k i l l with another leg of tour dates, and today, Merrill Garbus has done just that by announcing a summer tour. Following a European tour and a performance at this year's Sasquatch! Music Festival, tUnE-yArDs will be kicking off a two week tour throughout the U.S., including an appearance at Bonnaroo Music Festival. The tour starts on June 1st in New York, so take a look at the full tour itinerary after the jump.

[Listen] Elephant & Castle feat. tUnE-yArDs - "En Memoria"

Electronica composer Elephant & Castle, aka David Vincent Reep, is set to release his debut LP Transitions on March 13th via Plug Research. Serving as the first sense of what the album will sound like, the track "En Memoria," which features Merrill Garbus (of tUnE-yArDs fame), paints a fantastic picture of grandiose instrumentation and composition. Both Reep and Garbus play off of each other beautifully, resulting in a sweeping, ambience-heavy combination of orchestral instrumentation and unique vocal work. [News] tUnE-yArDs and St. Vincent Schedule Co-Headlining Tour Dates

In the midst of their performances at this year's Coachella Music Festival, tUnE-yArDs and St. Vincent will be teaming up for a pair of co-headlining shows. The concerts will take place in Tucson, AZ and Oakland, CA on April 17th and 24th, respectively, and, after the jump, you can take a look at both tUnE-yArDs' and St. Vincent's touring schedules.

[Watch] tUnE-yArDs - "Bizness" x "You Yes You" Live on Kimmel

Last night tUnE-yArDs brought the good stuff to Jimmy Kimmel, or should I say brought the business. Or, even better, "Bizness"! Merrill Garbus was the guest of choice last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! bringing two performances to the audience and the viewers at home. If you haven't guessed already one of the tracks she performed was "Bizness" taken from the awesome debut album, w h o k i l l. Next up they kept the good vibes flowing with a funky performance of "You Yes You". Give the former a watch at the top while "YYY" is after the jump.
