[Watch] Wilco - "Misunderstood" Live (Time-Lapse Video)

TwentyFourBit points towards an interesting video of Wilco performing at the Civic Opera House in Chicago on which the band are performing their opening track of the 1996 album, Being There. The track in question is "Misunderstood" and the video is time-lapsed making for an entertaining video to accompany the live performance. It was shot by Richie Wireman.

[Watch] The Flaming Lips - "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" Feat. Nels Cline (Beatles Cover)

Yesterday we got to hear one of the collaborations Wayne Coyne and his gang The Flaming Lips had been working on with Bon Iver. Today comes footage of the band performing another cover of The Beatles. Remember the "I Am The Walrus" cover over the holidays where they're all high as kites? This is a little more tame, and by that I mean they're not wrapped in special blankets and rocking back and fourth between licking weird objects. The performance is of the Abbey Road featuring "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and for the track they have some help from the guitar machine that is Nels Cline of Wilco. Seriously, if you're into guitars and pedals this guy is da bomb. Youtube him if not. The rendition of the track is 17 minutes long and it's bloody good!

Speaking of Wilco, did you see their insanely cool new video featuring Popeye yesterday?!

[Watch] Wilco - "Dawned On Me" Feat. Popeye (Official Video)

After seeing Wilco perform a fantastic rendition of "Dawned On Me" earlier in the week on Conan the band have now let loose the incredibly entertaining video for the track. It features none other than Popeye the frikkin' Sailor man. He loves his spinach and apparently he loves him a bit of Wilco too! Ahgahgahgahg. It's the first hand drawn animation of Popeye since way back in 1987 and the first video Wilco have released since back in '99! Watch history in the making up at the top. Brilliant.

[Watch] Wilco, Nick Lowe & Mavis Staples - "The Weight" Live in

Well this is rather special. Whilst at The Chicago Opera House in December last year, Wilco, Nick Lowe & Mavis Staples had a little rehearsal backstage in the dressing room and someone (Zoran Orlic) kindly filmed it resulting in a hair-raising performance that's quite simply mind blowing. They perform The Band's track "The Weight" complete with bass, electric and acoustic guitar, keys. Plus there's more soul in that room than many of us can hope to ever possess. Check it out and I challenge you to not watch this multiple times.

[Watch] Wilco's One-Hour Long Letterman Set

Wilco took to David Letterman's Late Show and the Ed Sullivan Theatre earlier in the week and performed what was over an hours worth of great music including tracks from their forthcoming album The Whole Love. The set also revisited the bands former LP's including tracks from A Ghost Is Born and Summerteeth. Wilco's live energy is undeniable and this goes to show old and new fans alike that these guys have still got it.
