[News] The New Foo Fighters Album is Finished!

It's done, finshed, and ready to be played LOUD! Foo Fighters yesterday finished recording their new, as yet untitiled follow up to 2007's Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. If you follow the guys on twitter you'd of seen they posted up this picture of them with a bottle of Champagne and everyone celebrating. Not only that but up top you can check out a short clip of track "White Limo" which sound big and brash to say the least!

This morning on Radio One, Dave spoke to Zane Lowe on Radio One about the album "There's 11 songs and front to back there's not one sleepy ballad", going on to say "the process was so simple. It was really in my garage. You could put a mini van in there and that's it. The fact that we did it without any computers it was just really simple. It just sounds massive." Now if that doesn't get you all hot around the collar then I don't know what will!

The album also marked the first time Dave has worked with Butch Vig since Nirvana's 1991 album Nevermind and Butch seems to have enjoyed the process according to Dave as Grohl states, "Butch  swears that he's had more fun making this record than any other record than he's made in his life - that's a lot of records".

We don't have a release date for it yet but Dave mentions the band are throwing around the name Back and Forth. With regards to a single "I don't even know what the single is going to be...It's hard to choose because it sounds like there's more than one." So for the time being you'll have to just keep hitting play on the "White Limo" clip up top to keep your appetite for new Foo's suppressed until we have more details.
