[Listen] Sleigh Bells - "Born to Lose"

In a recent interview with SPIN.com, noise pop duo Sleigh Bells discussed their second studio album, titled Reign of Terror, wherein it was revealed that singer Alexis Krauss has stepped up to write the album collaboratively with guitarist/producer Derek E. Miller. In the interview, she said, "My interest in writing is dominantly informed by pop. I love bridges, counter-melodies, pre-choruses — that was definitely something I was interested in bringing to the record." Now, SPIN has yet another Sleigh Bells goodie to share with everyone in the form of "Born to Lose," our first listen of the upcoming album. Premiering on Zane Lowe's radio show earlier today, the song won't dissapoint fans of the duo's first album, but it also shows welcome progression from the Brooklyn band. It's clear that Krauss had a lot more input this time around, and it shows. Check out the song above to hear what Miller and Krauss have brought to the table for their sophomore release.

Reign of Terror is set for release on February 14th via Mom + Pop Music.
