[Watch] Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic & Kimya Dawson Perform New Songs Live At ZeroFriends in LA

For those that missed out, Indie Hip Hop Emcee/Producer Aesop Rock along with Rob Sonic and Kimya Dawson played a free show for the closing of the Zerofriends store in North Hollywood. Aesop performed tracks from his latest LP None Shall Pass as well as some new tunes with his Hail Mary Mallon partner Rob Sonic. The duo performed their first single "D-Up" which was featured on the Definitive Jux Presents Vol. 4 compilation as well as a new song titled "Smock" (which you can view in the player above). The track was previewed on Aesop Rock's website 900bats.com with behind the scenes footage for the upcoming video. Aesop stated that this track will appear on the HMM album which is currently being mixed and will be out in the near future.

But that's not the only new material Aes premiered at the show. Aesop brought along former Moldy Peaches singer/songwriter Kimya Dawson to perform 2 new songs "Bats" and "Delicate Cycle" which we assume are to appear on Aesop's next solo record. UPDATE: The songs actually are set to appear on Aes' and Kimya's collaboration album. That's right! You heard correct. Kimya just updated us stating that her and Aesop are recording a full album together but thats not all. She also stated that Aesop will be appearing on 6 songs on her upcoming solo album dropping this Summer. Awesome!

Check out the full rough video for "Bats" and partial footage of the song "Delicate Cycle" after the jump and then head over to YouTube user Michelle3571's channel for more vids of Aesop Rock's ZeroFriends performance as well as solo performances by Rob Sonic and Kimya Dawson.
