[Listen] Arcade Fire - "Abraham's Daughter"

Along with The Decemberists, Kid Cudi, Neko Case, Glen Hansard, The Low Anthem, The Secret Sisters and many more, Arcade Fire have contributed an entirely original song to the official soundtrack for the upcoming film The Hunger Games. The song, titled "Abraham's Daughter," can be streamed in its entirety below (via Jimdo Indie Rock Music) with the album being available to preorder through iTunes. When speaking to EW.com about the song, Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler went into detail about his inspiration for the song, saying, "I tried to put myself in the headspace of how excited I’d be if this film was coming out when I was 15. I still remember hearing Radiohead’s “Exit Music (for a Film)” in [Baz Luhrmann’s] Romeo + Juliet when I was that age."

Along with "Abraham's Daughter," Arcade Fire have provided an orchestral piece, titled "Horn of Plenty," which will be featured in the film itself. The soundtrack for The Hunger Games is set to be released on March 20th, prior to the film's March 23rd release.
