[Watch] Studio Killers - "Eros And Apollo"

Thanks to a tip from a Twitter follower I am now sitting skeptically skimming the internet trying to get to the bottom of what is going on with this "band". Other than having perfectly SEO'd properties with the same bio everywhere on the band and a random plethora of fans clinging to one officially released track and tidbits of others, there isn't a whole lot we can learn about virtual band Studio Killers. The "band" are comprised of three characters: Cherry (the lead singer), Goldie Foxx and Dyna Mink, who rock turntables and keytars. Almost a year ago they released a song called "Ode To The Bouncer" which was catchy enough to top Dutch Top 40 charts. Now just this past Friday they unveiled a new song and video called "Eros And Apollo" which you can check out above for yourselves. They're also apparently going to be putting out an album pretty soon, which there are no other details than a teaser video of a song being mixed on their YouTube channel.

I'm all for bright colors and fun dance music and the animations of the characters are kind of fun, but something just doesn't sit right with me on this. I'm not really sure why. I know I'm already sick of hearing that they're "like The Gorillaz but dancey" from the minimal bit of research I've done so far on the band. I guess for now I'll play along and see what else they have up their sleeves. I think the lack of information about the actual people involved behind the music is what's getting to me the most because I don't like feeling as though I'm about to be tricked. Maybe I'm just overthinking this? Thoughts?
