[Watch & Download] Them Crooked Vultures - "Mind Eraser, No Chaser (Live From Sydney)"
(video courtesy of Shockhound)
Haven't gotten enough of Them Crooked Vultures yet? We've got you covered. Above is an interview with TCV where talk about how their new band started, and reveal the role that Medieval Times played in its formation. Yes, Medieval Times. It's quite hysterical. A must watch.
Also on Shockhound is a FREE download of "Mind Eraser, No Chaser Live From Sydney" so make sure to head on over and pick that up.
[$FREE.99] Snowden - 'Soft Slow Syrup EP'
It's rainy and gross outside in Brooklyn and all I wanna be is Snowden.
Yes, it was a terrible joke. It's Monday. Deal with it.
At any rate, Snowden have released a five song EP called Slow Soft Syrup. It is currently the actual retail price of $FREE.99, via NoiseTrade.
Soft Slow Syrup is a little somethingsomething to tie you over since it's been awhile since their debut full length, Anti-Anti.
Straight from the band's mouth:
"It's been a while since the last release. We know. Thanks to everyone for being patient and supporting us. Here's a little something until the new record arrives. It's free in exchange for your email address and zip code which we'll only use to inform you of tours and releases.
The only thing holding back the next release is money. That said, anything you can donate is much appreciated and will speed the delivery of the next record. If you can't afford to donate, please share the release with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Thanks and stay tuned."
And there you have it.
Check out the nifty little NoiseTrade widget below to download the EP. You have to trade a little info for it, but let's be honest, you will want to be aware of when Snowden will be in your area.
[Download] A Lull - "Weapons For War" Single, Remix EP
Chicago's A Lull definitely knows how to spread the love all around despite an incredibly disheartening tour. They're currently offering digital downloads of both their single and the remix EP for said single (which I guess is technically just a 2-part maxi single), for the magical retail price of $FREE.99 on their website.
ANYWAYS, "Weapons For War" the single version of the 2 available downloads also includes the track "Spread It All Around", which has recently made my head cave in a little upon first listen. I absolutely cannot stop listening to it right now. Also with the free download is a chance to pick up a 7" version of the single for $5 (not including shipping), which will be a limited pressing of 250.
The remix EP version of "Weapons For War" features remixes from Triobelisk, Kiko Correa, Soft Crest, and Burrows. All are fantastic.
Go grab both off their website and have a listen.
