[News] RockNess Festival Announced. Biffy Clyro, Deadmau5, Mumford & Sons to Headline

Scotland's RockNess festival has announced their initial line-up and it's an interesting mix. They've managed to get Scotland's very own Biffy Clyro to headline along with Deadmau5 and folk heroes Mumford & Sons. As well as the headliners a few others have been announced. Azealia Banks, Ed Sheeran, Justice, Metronomy and TEED also make up some of the bill. See above for everyone announced so far. 

The festival will take place in Loch Ness in the highlands on the weekend of June 8th -June 10th. Tickets are on sale now.

[News] School of Seven Bells Announce European Dates

School of Seven Bells have just announced a handful of European tour dates for the beginning of March. They'll start out on the 8th of March at The Garage in London finishing up on the 14th in Berlin. Peep all the dats below.

The Brooklyn duo are also readying the release of their third album Ghostory for the 27th of Feb so keep your eyes peeled for a few new tracks before then. We've already had a couple, all of which can be checked out over here

With members from six different bands—Deer Tick, Black Lips, Los Lobos, Dead Confederate, and Six Finger Satellite—the supergroup have a fantastic combination of sounds and styles to work with, and "Gimme A Beer" displays this perfectly. [News] Said the Whale Details Third LP, 'Little Mountain'

Vancouver indie rock outfit and Juno Award winners Said the Whale have announced that their third studio album Little Mountain will be released on March 6th via Hidden Pony. To coincide with the announcement, the band has made two tracks available for your listening pleasure, both of which, titled "Heavy Ceiling" and "Big Sky, MT," are available to stream below. As well, starting on February 7th, the group will be releasing promotional videos for each of the 15 songs on the album, with one video being released each day.

Along with the album announcement, Said the Whale is set to tour throughout North America, starting with a show in their hometown of Vancouver on February 25th. After the jump, you can check out the band's full tour itinerary as well as the tracklisting for Little Mountain.

Last July, Portugal. The Man released their fantastic sixth studio album In the Mountain In the Cloud, and this Spring the psychedelic rock outfit will further support the release with a Jägermeister sponsored tour. With support from The Lonely Forest, the band will kick off their Spring tour in Boise, Idaho on April 3rd, and from there will see them visiting 25 other cities, the final of which will be San Francisco on May 6th. Pre-sale tickets for the tour are currently on sale at the band's website, with general public tickets going on sale on January 27th.

[News] Florence & The Machine Announce U.S. Spring Tour

With planned performances at this year's Coachella Music Festival and New Orleans Jazz Festival, Florence & The Machine have added a string of U.S. dates around the two festivals. Furthering the support of their sophomore LP Ceremonials, Florence Welch and co. will kick off the U.S. tour in Santa Barbara on April 14th, with the final show taking place in New York City on May 8th.

Yup, ever wonder what the little blighters are thinking when they look at you with those cute little eyes? This video should help you learn a little of what your cat may be thinking. For the size of that cat it sure can knock back the shots.

Just over a week ago, the Red Hot Chili Peppers made an announcement that they would have to postpone their massive 2012 touring schedule due to frontman Anthony Kiedis sustaining several foot injuries. Having pushed back many of their tour dates to as late as September and October, there was a noticeable absence of tour dates in between April 12th and June 23rd, and, yesterday, the band announced yet another tour leg that would fill this gap. Starting on April 27th in Toronto, the leg will see the band visiting two other cities in Canada as well as 10 different states throughout the U.S., with the final show taking place on June 7th in Louisville, KY.
