[News] Tribes Announce UK Headline Tour
At the beginning of the month Tribes released their eagerly awaited debut LP Baby, which if you haven't picked up you should 'cos it's one of those albums that you can listen to again and again yet it still sounds fresh, you know? Anyway, to coincide with their ever growing fanbase the band have announced their biggest UK headline tour to date, set for April and May! The series of dates can be seen after the jump. The band will also be hitting the road with the NME tour along with Metronomy, Two Door Cinema Club and Azealia Banks. 2012 looks like it'll be Tribes' biggest yet! This band in a live setting is something everyone should witness so grab your tickets before they sell out! They go on sale later this week with exclusive pre-sale available on the bands official website from 9am tomorrow (Feb. 1st).

After some great visuals for their even better tracks, Clock Opera have just announced that they will release their stunning debut album, Ways To Forget, on 9th April, 2012 via Moshi Moshi / Island Records.
The Four Piece have created what is sure to be a stunning debut using tonnes of weird and wonderful objects and unexpected instruments creating a wall of elegance and depth. Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on it. In support of the release the band will also embark upon their first ever headline tour making stops in Glasgow, Sheffield and Cambridge along the way before partaking in Dot to Dot Festival in numerous cities. Full dates are after the jump. Mark your calendars though, April will be a good month.

Garbage have announced they will are to release their fifth studio album and follow up to 2005's Bleed Like Me with the highly anticipated, Not Your Kind Of People. The date has been set and you'll be able to get your hands on it come May 15th, 2012, via their very own label STUNVOLUME.
Along with this great news the band have announced a few european dates for May/June this year in good ol' Europe. Peep the dates after the jump.

[News] Third Man Records To Give School Choirs, Bands A Vinyl Experience Of A Lifetime
Earlier today Third Man Records announced a partnership that is sure to put a smile on your face. As we all know, with every passing day budgets for music education programs are being constantly being slashed. To combat that, Jackie White's label is offering students in school choirs and bands everywhere the chance of a lifetime. With the help of their partner Brightspark Travel, students will get the opportunity to visit the Nashville-based label, record some of their songs there, have their recorded songs pressed in dual-color 7" vinyl (their school colors), and receive a commemorative plaque.
Bravo to you, Jackie. You may keep us guessing with things like appearances on American Pickers and deciding to work with Insane Clown Posse, but you've done a great thing here.

[News] Atlas Sound Announces 2012 Tour Dates

Following a U.S. East Coast tour back in December, Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox, also known for his solo project Atlas Sound, has announced six tour dates throughout North America to further support last year's Parallax. Starting in Los Angeles on February 24th, the short tour includes a coffee shop show in Binghamton, New York, as well as performances in San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Minneapolis and Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Although the Odd Future hype train has slowed down quite a bit in the last few months, Tyler, The Creator and co. are still hard at work and ready to unleash their antics on the world once again. Following The Internet's release of the physical version of Purple Naked Ladies, OFWGKTA are priming to release a slew of mixtapes and LPs. The first release wil the OF Tape Vol. 2, the follow-up to 2008s Odd Future Mixtape, which will feature almost every member of Odd Future and is scheduled to drop on March 20th. The second is Tyler, The Creator's latest LP Wolf, the follow-up to last year's Goblin, which will be released sometime this spring. The third is a brand new LP from MellowHype (Left Brain and Hodgy Beats), which is scheduled for this summer.
Along with their slew of releases, the Odd Future crew's live action TV series Loiter Squad is set to premiere on Adult Swim on March 25th. The group also announced a number of tour dates throughout North America and the UK, where screenings of the TV series, along with a pop-up store, will be featured at each of their upcoming tour dates. [News] New M.I.A. Single "Bad Girlz" Coming Next Week
M.I.A. has announced a new single will hit the web next week and it's to be a reworking of "Bad Girls" which you may remember from the Vicki Leekx mixtape a few Christmas' back. Come Monday (30th of Jan.) the Danja produced track will be available of Pitchfork and then god knows everywhere else moments later! A video for the track will follow not too long after on February 3rd.
Rumour has it we'll see another full length effort from her later this year, following up 2010's /\/\/\Y/\. Watch this space.
