[News] Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire to Join Mick Jagger on SNL

What are your plans for a week today? Well, ok, I should specify that it's next Saturday evening? Whatever it is cancel it for Mick Jagger is hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live's season finale, May 19th. Not only that but now reports are coming in along with tweets that his backing band will consist of not one but two Grammy award winning bands: Foo Fighters AND Arcade Fire. So that important meal you had planned with the family, cancel it.

[News] Big K.R.I.T. Announces Summer Tour

Big K.R.I.T.'s debut studio album Live from the Underground is set to drop on June 5th via Def Jam, and in support of the forthcoming release, the Mississippi rapper has announced a summer tour throughout North America. Starting on July 11th, K.R.I.T. will tour across North America, performing in 27 cities in just over a month, including a stop in Chicago for this year's Pitchfork Music Festival. [News] Chromatics Release 'Kill for Love (DRUMLESS)'

Chromatics' fantastic fourth studio album Kill for Love is easily one of the best albums of the year so far, and today the Portland outfit has shown that they are highly appreciative of their fans and they support they give. [News] Twin Shadow Announces "Ton Up" Tour

Twin Shadow has announced a slew of tour dates, collectively called the "Ton Up" tour, in support of his forthcoming sophomore LP Confess. The sophomore effort is set for release on July 10th via 4AD, and the tour begins just two weeks after that, taking George Lewis Jr. and co. through till the end of September. [News] Youth Lagoon Adds Summer Tour Dates

Trevor Powers (aka Youth Lagoon) has extended his touring schedule following his lengthy tour opening for Death Cab for Cutie. With a few more dates opening for the Seattle band, Powers will take a month and a half off, reutnring in early July to furhter support his debut LP The Year of Hibernation. The 14-date headlining tour will see support from Father John Misty, and will finish up in Portland on July 22nd. Take a look at his full tour schedule after the jump.

[News] Florence & The Machine and The Weeknd Set to Tour Together

It seems that Florence & The Machine's endless tour dates in support of Ceremonials will continue even further into 2012, as the band has announced a third leg of tour dates in the U.S. Not only that, but The Weeknd will be opening for them on five separate nights in September and October. For those lucky enough to be in Los Angeles, San Diego, Camden, NJ, Columbia, MD, or Mountain View, CA, do yourself a favour and get a ticket for a double dose of fantastic music. [News] Beastie Boys' Ad-Rock and Mike D Respond to MCA's Passing

In the wake of Beastie Boys member MCA's unfortunate death this past Friday, Ad-Rock and Mike D, the other members of the famed New York group, have both issued statements regarding the loss of their friend and bandmate.

Ad-Rock took to the band's official website, saying, "As you can imagine, shit is just fkd up right now. But i wanna say thank you to all our friends and family (which are kinda one in the same) for all the love and support. i’m glad to know that all the love that Yauch has put out into the world is coming right back at him. thank you."

Mike D's reaction came on Facebook, where he wrote, "I know, we should have tweeted and instagrammed every sad, happy and inspired thought, smile or tear by now. But honestly the last few days have just been a blur of deep emotions for our closest friend, band mate and really brother. I miss Adam so much. He really served as a great example for myself and so many of what determination, faith, focus, and humility coupled with a sense of humor can accomplish. The world is in need of many more like him. We love you Adam."

Numerous other musicians gave statements in response to MCA's passing, including Jay-Z, Thom Yorke, and Madonna.
