[News] Yeasayer Unveil 'Fragrant World' Artwork

Pictured above is the official artwork for Yeasayer's forthcoming third LP Fragrant World, which we've already had a taste of with its two lead singles "Henrietta" and "Longevity." Pre-orders for the album, which is out on August 21st via Secretly Canadian, start today, and the band has outlined the different packages available. Below, you can see the full descriptions of the packages, and pre-orders can be made on Yeasayer's official website, Secretly Canadian, or on iTunes.
1. Uber Deluxe Package: Contains CD/LP/7″/Poster/T-shirt. This is the Yeasayer motherload. What we are really excited about with this package is the extremely limited 7″ (300 copies) that contains the title track “Fragrant World” that is not on the album — backed w/ a “No Bones” remix. This 7″ is pressed with glitter in the vinyl (awesome!) and though it’s possible some of these 7″s may skip you have to remember this is art man!!!
2. CD or LP: For those of you who have enough clothes and are not interested in 7″ singles. Includes free poster.
3. T-shirt only: For those of you who either feel music has no value or you actually visit record stores.
Now, you can bundle the shirt w/ a CD or LP because we like options. We also want to make you happy. So either go for the gusto or choose a la carte. A reminder that the album contains eleven (11) Yeasayer-y tracks and if you need a preview you can hear two tracks via our vignette visions."
[Listen] The Raveonettes - "Observations"

A few weeks back, Danish dream pop duo The Raveonettes announced their sixth LP Observator, the follow-up to last year's Raven in the Grave. The album, which will be released on September 11th through VICE Records, now has a lead single titled "Observations." The song features a hauntingly beautiful piano and the evocative wailing of a slide guitar combining to form the crux of a wholly eery number. Head over to RollingStone.com to stream the track, which singer/guitarist Sune Rose Wagner describes as "sort of the blueprint for this album. It captures a universal feeling of the outsider in his daily life, his longing and losses in love and his primordial instinct of survival."
The Raveonettes are also going on tour in support of the album, with their first performance set for September 21st in Portland. Check out their tour schedule after the jump.
