[News] Frank Ocean, Muse, and Mumford & Sons to Perform on SNL

The 38th season of Saturday Night Live starts on September 15th, and they've announced some heavy hitting performances for the upcoming season. The premiere episode will see Family Guy creator Seth Macfarlane on hosting duties, while Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean will be performing. After cancelling his European tour, the SNL performance and a performance at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will mark his return to the stage.

The following episode isn't slumping, either, as the Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosted episode, which will air on Sept. 22nd, will see Mumford & Sons performing live. Marcus Mumford and co. will be releasing their sophomore album Babel three days after the SNL appearance. Two weeks later, Daniel Craig will be hosting the late-night show, with Muse serving as the musical guest. The UK outfit will be supporting their upcoming album The 2nd Law, which is set for release on October 2nd. Not a shabby lineup if you ask me.

As a reminder of what you can expect, watch the replay of Frank Ocean performing "Bad Religion" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon below.

[News] Muse Added to iTunes Festival

To celebrate the release of their sixth studio album, The 2nd Law, Muse have announced that they have been added to iTunes festival in London with an intimate show at the Roundhouse that'll take place on Sunday September 30th. If you want to be in with a chance of seeing Muse in such a tiny venue you'll have to enter the competition via the iTunes Festival website here. All attendees will be asked to make a voluntary donation of £20 on the door with all proceeds going to War Child, The Roundhouse 11-25 Creative Programme and The Helen Foundation.

Of the gig the band says:

"we're really looking forward to getting back on the road and playing a unique show for three incredible charities at such an intimate venue in the heart of London"

I for one am very excited to catch the guys in a live setting once again. If you're yet to be converted into a Muse fan I highly recommend seeing them live, it changed my mind some 8 years ago, maybe they'll make a fan of you yet too. The video for "Madness" is set to be released later this week too.
