[Listen] James Blakes Remixes D'Angelo
During a guest DJ spot on BBC Radio 1 this past weekend, James Blake celebrated the return of neo-soul artist D'Angelo by remixing his Voodoo single "Left & Right." The remix was made under Blake's Harmonimix moniker, under which he has remixed the likes of Snoop Dogg and Destiny's Child. The remix is a fantastic reworking of the original, adding hazy effects and vocal manipulation akin to much of Blake's work, so give it a listen below. During the DJ set, Blake also mentioned that he is currently working on his sophomore LP, with a possibility of its release by the end of 2012.

[Listen] Oliver Tank - 'Dreams Remixed'
While many of you may have not heard of Oliver Tank, the 22-year-old Sydney musician has incredible, as is present on his Dreams EP, which he released back in late November. The EP solidified his ability to make beautifully atmospheric dreamwave music that actually told a coherent story over the course of six tracks. Now, a number of other Australian artists have remixed the Dreams EP, including Sleepyhands, Great Earthquake, Magic Silver White and True North. Each song on Dreams Remixed manages to keep the true intent of Tank's originals, such as the surrealistic and dreamy "Last Night I Heard Everything in Slow Motion" or the entrancing "Embrace," all the while giving each song a brand new flavour. If you've yet to hear Oliver Tank's music, head here, and the entirety of Dreams Remixed is available to stream below.
[Listen] Fanfarlo - "Shiny Things" (Yeasayer Remix)
Yeasayer has offered up a reworking of Fanfarlo's "Shiny Things" turning it into bouncy number. The single itself is out now with the London band looking to release their album Rooms Filled With Light later in the month on the 28th of February via Canvasback Music/Atlantic. See what you think of Brooklyn mixing London. Pretty cool.
[Listen] St. Lucia - "We Got It Wrong" (Xaphoon Jones Remix)
Xaphoon Jones, may be good at playing a blues brother and being one half of Chiddy Bang but he's also a damn good creator of remixes too. His latest offering is a rework of St. Lucia's "We Got It Wrong" and adds a big heavy beat to a song that already sounds like it's created for listening on a beach far, far away. Thanks to Hypetrak for the heads up on this one.
A great start to a Wednesday morning. Look out for St. Lucia's forthcoming LP, which looking likely to drop later in 2012.
[Listen] Ladyhawke - "Black, White & Blue" (The Big Pink remix)
The Big Pink have offered up a remix of Ladyhawke's comeback track "Black, White & Blue" which is taken from their forthcoming record, Anxiety. They've warped it into a thumping warped out track that sounds oh so good as it pulses in your headphones with its heavy drum beats and distorted looped vocals. See what I mean for yourselves below.
