[News] Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter Scores New Lindsay Lohan Short Film
In the midst of recording their not-so-secret fourth studio album, Thomas Bangalter, one half of French electro duo Daft Punk, has scored a new short film titled First Point, starring Lindsay Lohan. According to The New York Times, the film focuses on the subject of surfing and is the brainchild of artist Richard Phillips. No stranger to scoring films, Bangalter created an "ominously swelling score," fitting with the subject matter of the film.
The film also features the work of legendary surfer filmmaker Taylor Steele, as well as the help of surfer Kassia Meador as Lohan's stunt double. First Point is set to premiere this week at Art Basel. Check out the official trailer above.

Last October, The Drums paid a visit to The Echoplex in Los Angeles, where they performed the song "If He Likes It Let Him Do It," from their excellent sophomore LP Portamento. [News] Grimes, Kreayshawn, Blood Diamonds, and Tragik Form L$D
In a completely out of the blue and random turn of events, Grimes, Blood Diamonds, Kreayshawn, and LA rapper Tragik have announced that they have formed a new group called L$D. The new collective's first track is titled "Don't Smoke My Blunt Bitch," which apparently took a total of ten minutes to record, with the accompanying music video taking less than an hour. All the recent Odd Future talk has surrounded the sultry tones of Frank Ocean, but resident stoner Hodgy Beats took to his Twitter today to release a track titled "Fordabitches." After teasing at a collaboration with Jack White only two days ago, Radiohead once again used their live performance to deliver something even more exciting during a show in Chicago last night. The band debuted a brand new song during their concert, titled "Full Stop," which many devoted fans took footage of. Above and after the jump, you can watch fan-made clips of the song, which Thom Yorke ended by saying "like wine, it will better with age."

[Watch] The Vaccines - "No Hope" (Official Video)
The Vaccines have unveiled the official video for their song "No Hope," the first track from their forthcoming sophomore LP The Vaccines Come Of Age. The video sees a young kid hesitantly delivering flowers to the front doorstep of a girl, only to see her toss them aside. It's evocative of the title, and of the lyrics delivered by vocalist Justin Young. Watch it above.
"No Hope" was featured on this month's edition of the Some Kind of Mixtape series, which you can check out here. As well, The Vaccines Come Of Age is out on September 4th via Columbia Records.
