[Listen] The Raveonettes - "Observations"
A few weeks back, Danish dream pop duo The Raveonettes announced their sixth LP Observator, the follow-up to last year's Raven in the Grave. The album, which will be released on September 11th through VICE Records, now has a lead single titled "Observations." The song features a hauntingly beautiful piano and the evocative wailing of a slide guitar combining to form the crux of a wholly eery number. Head over to RollingStone.com to stream the track, which singer/guitarist Sune Rose Wagner describes as "sort of the blueprint for this album. It captures a universal feeling of the outsider in his daily life, his longing and losses in love and his primordial instinct of survival."
The Raveonettes are also going on tour in support of the album, with their first performance set for September 21st in Portland. Check out their tour schedule after the jump.

[Watch] Biffy Clyro Offer Up Album Teaser, Play 3 New Tracks at Isle of Wight
Biffy Clyro have been talking about their return for quite some time. They even dropped a name for it a few months ago only to recently change their mind recently. They said the double effort would be titled The Land At The End Of Our Toes and The Sand At The Core Of Our Bones respectively. So, what's the new material going to sound like following their pretty successful Only Revolutions? From a tease they posted yesterday, pretty crunchy. But then again, it's only a 30 second preview before the words: "Coming Soon" appear. Can we expect an August/September release? Who knows but it looks like they're nearing the end of the process.
Further adding to this theory, this weekend they performed at The Isle of Wight Festival and performed three new tracks; "Modern Magic Formula", "The Joke's On Us" and "Victory Over The Sun". Two of which they previously debuted at Download Festival and one way back last year at Milton Keynes Bowl when they supported Foo Fighters. Check out some fan shot footage of some new tracks from Download a few weeks ago after the jump.
