[Listen] MNDR - "Faster Horses"

It's been a while since we heard from MNDR, January to be specific. It was then that we heard her song "#1 in Heaven," the first single from her forthcoming debut LP Feed Me Diamonds. After that, we haven't heard much from her, but when recently speaking to Stereogum, Amanda Warner of MNDR spoke about her debut album, saying:

I wanted something that was like industrial pop. Peter and I talked about that right from the beginning. Something kind of dark. I’m also a DJ, so I know a lot of electronic music and the stuff I was always more into veered towards the more German, more minimal variety. I like Richie Hawtin and stuff like that. I was trying to keep those influences In mind while we were working through the songs."

Now, you can hear the result with the song "Faster Horses," a song that, as Warner wanted, blends industrial pop with a pounding electronic sound. Stream and download the song below.

Feed Me Diamonds is out on August 14th via Ultra.

[Watch] Kishi Bashi - "I Am The Antichrist To You" (Official Video)

Kishi Bashi's debut album 151a is one of my favorites of the year so far, and the charm and wonder he brings to his music has also been brought to the video for his song "I Am The Antichrist To You." Directed by Kishi Bashi himself, the wondrous animated world brought to life in these visuals is colorful, vivid, and wholly captivating. Watch it above, and below you can read Kishi Bashi's own description of the tale he presents in this video.

Once he belonged to someone.
He had a big floppy ear like a puppy and a tiny tail like a bunny.
Nobody knew what he was, but it didn't matter to them anymore.

He was abandoned on the street. There he found a hat that was also dumped, and they both decided to take a journey in search of a better place.

The puppy and the hat sailed away in the dark ocean...
One day, they arrived to The Island, where All the creatures were once someones'
family, friend or lover.
No one can visit the island except the ones who came here abandoned...

He met there the pink bunny with whom they spent many years rediscovering happiness again. Then the numbers from their other world arrived..."

Kishi Bashi has also announced tour dates in support of 151a, two of which will be opening performances for Passion Pit. Check out the full docket after the jump.

[Listen] The Raveonettes - "She Owns The Streets"

The Raveonettes' sixth LP Observator is set to arrive on September 11th, and the duo has let loose another single from the forthcoming effort. We've already heard "Observations," and below you can stream and download the second single from the album titled "She Owns The Streets." Here's what Sune Rose Wagner had to say about the song:

The real people I’d met and experiences I had over the last year in NY and Venice, CA all bled into these new songs. ‘She Owns The Streets’ for example is about a New York City street dancer. I’ve noticed her before dancing wildly on Bowery, running crazily in the street among the cabs and horrified passers-by. A friend of mine introduced me to her and we struck up a friendship. In 20 minutes I had written a song about the pleasures and pitfalls of being perceived as either a drug-crazed girl or an insane individual, simply because she dares to defy the laws of civility and conformity. Isolation can be a wonderful thing, but it doesn’t afford you this kind of inspiration."
