[Watch] Liars - "Brats" (Official Video)

What the fuck? Seriously... what the fuck? Liars have taken music videos to a new level of weird with this one. The visuals for "Brats" play out as if Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny were placed in the impossible-to-control world of QWOP, and then throw in some acid-induced distortion for good measure. Good thing the song itself is so awesome. Check it out above.

Liars' latest LP WIXIW is out now via Mute.

[Listen] David Byrne & St. Vincent - "Weekend In The Dust"

David Byrne and St. Vincent are offering up another track from their forthcoming collaborative LP Love This Giant, which is set to drop in early September. We previously heard album opener "Who", which the pair gave us last month, and now you can stream "Weekend In The Dust". If you head over to their official website, you can stream both songs in full, and if you pre-order the album you will receive a download of the latter.

A fan newsletter gave us some choice words from the pair, who said that "Weekend In The Dust" was one of ten songs from the 12-track effort that they wrote together. Here's what Annie Clark had to say: "David came up with some brass riffs and swells that sounded pretty funky. Annie then wrote a cool vocal melody with words over it. We both arranged her vocal and other elements of the track a bit further—still working with horn samples temporarily. Finally, we passed this one on to baritone sax monster Lenny Pickett, ex Tower Of Power and current Borneo Horns and SNL bandleader, for arranging."

Love This Giant is out on September 11th via 4AD/Todo Mundo.

[Watch] The xx - "Angels" (Studio Q Session)

With one song, The xx have brought an unrelenting wave of excitement in their direction. After dropping "Angels", the first cut from the band's upcoming sophomore LP Coexist, The xx were welcomed back into the limelight with open arms, and for good reason. The song is a spine-tingling, atmospheric cut, with echoing percussion, emotion-heavy vocals and rhythmic guitar riffs coming together in a beautiful soundscape. While visiting Toronto, the UK outfit stopped by Studio Q to perform "Angels", and they once again prove they can mesmerize no matter the setting. Check out the replay above.

Coexist is out on September 11th via Young Turks.

[Listen] Giraffage - "Money"

Last we heard from San Francisco producer Giraffage, he dropped his track "Feels" almost two months ago. Now, he's offered up a new cut titled "Money", which will appear on his forthcoming EP. This song is a bit of a departure from the usual Giraffage feel and sound, with a barrage of glitchy trap sounds kicking it around the 1:25 mark. The floor rattling arrangement sees the producer utilizing some fantastic techniques, with lightning-quick percussion, deep bass lines, and chopped and rearranged vocal samples coming together in an amazing way.

"Money" is a great change of pace from Giraffage's usual style, but doesn't stray too far from what he does best, and it's always good to see artists exploring new techniques. Even though his upcoming EP is set to drop in August, the aniticipation is already overwhelming. Stream the cut below.
