[Listen] The Black Keys x RZA - "The Baddest Man Alive"

Remember that awesome record Blakroc that The Black Keys put out a few years ago that had The Keys collaborating with some of hip hop's finest like Raekwon, Mos Def and The RZA? It was fuckin awesome right? Too bad we never got the rumored sequel, but thats okay because today we get to hear a new collaboration from The Black Keys and The RZA titled "The Baddest Man Alive" which is set to appear on the soundtrack to RZA's upcoming film The Man With The Iron Fists courtesy of the folks at FUSE.

Check out the track below as well as a few other tracks from the soundtrack like the new Wu Tang track "Six Directions of Boxing", the Ghostface x M.O.P. x Pharoahe Monch collaboration "Black Out" and a snippet of the new Kanye West song "White Dress". The soundtrack is set to drop on October 22nd and you can preorder the album as well as the 5 disc deluxe version of the album here which also includes a stream of the film's score by RZA and Howard Drossin and the music that influenced the sound track as well. Make sure you also watch the kick ass film The Man With The Iron Fists when it releases on November 2nd (my birthday, what what!).

[Watch] Cee Lo Green - "Run Rudolph Run"

Yes. It's October. Yes, Christmas promotions are on the television. But geez, I don't want to be hearing songs on the Radio whilst I'm at work 'cos that'd be pretty depressing. Can't I get dressed up for Halloween at least first before this happens? I like Halloween... Where's the year gone?! With that said, I don't mind hearing Cee Lo Green's version of Chuck Berry's track "Run Rudolph Run" albeit just once up until maybe December, then he can have this played all he wants and I won't kick up (that much of) a fuss.

The track is set to feature on his Christmas album Magic Moments which drops October 30th.

[Watch] Sleeper Agent - "That's My Baby" (Official Video)

Nothing wrong with a bit of drunken Karaoke every now and again, but when Sleeper Agent go it's a little different, and things get rather weird pretty quickly. Performing in front of a green screen everything seems normal until the images on the green screen become a reality and some morph suit wearing dudes come and take Alex away. Erm.. I can't really explain the rest or what it all means so give it a watch for yourselves above.

[Watch] Sharon Van Etten - "Magic Chords" (Official Video)

We saw Sharon Van Etten perform "Serpents" yesterday on Later... with Jools Holland and then shortly after that she went and dropped a brand new video for the track "Magic Chords" taken from year’s Tramp. The video sees Sharon dressed as a pilgrim down by the river and it's a little creepy throughout, it is October after all. By creepy I mean there's a tonne of dead bodies littering the woods and the water she bathes in. The video does advise viewer discretion as the corpses I mentioned are indeed naked. Directed by Rick Alverson you can see it above.

[Listen] Little Comets - 'Life Is Elsewhere' (Full Album Stream)

A mid week treat today we can preview the brand new album from those good ol' lads from up north, Little Comets. The album is titled Life Is Elsewhere and is the second from the band, it's set for release next week on October 15th but before that, enjoy it in full right here on SKOA. It's full of everything we've come to expect from the band with their previews and performances in the past year. Delicate harmonies wrapped up in a beautiful package of reverb twinkling guitars. Reminds me of a cross between Local Natives and Maps & Atlases which is defintely a good thing. It definitely shows a growth from their debut In Search of Elusive Little Comets and it is most definitely worth a chunk of your day, seriously.

Pick up a copy of the album from Monday via Dirty Hit.
