[Listen] Major Lazer feat. Flux Pavilion - "Jah No Partial"
As shitty as the delay of Major Lazer's sophomore LP Free the Universe may seem, there is no doubt that Diplo is putting the extra time to good use. "Jah No Partial" is a great example of this, as Major Lazer teams up with Flux Pavilion for a mellow reggae beat that quickly turns into a bombastic wubby club beat. Stream it below, and get ready for the drop.
Free the Universe is out on February 19th via Diplo's own Mad Decent label.

[Watch] The Black Keys x RZA - "The Baddest Man Alive" (Official Video)
We've already got to enjoy the awesome sounding track from RZA and The Black Keys titled "The Baddest Man Alive", and now we get an equally brilliant visual accompaniment. Seriously, it's great. It features Dan, Patrick and RZA sitting down for a pleasant meal in a Chinese restaurant before things get a little heated as to who gets the fortune cookie. Blood is spilled and Dan also gets slapped across the face with a fish. Yes, a fish! Enjoy it at the top and look out for The Man With the Iron Fists when it hits theatres on November 2nd. The full soundtrack however can be heard right now, over here.
[Listen] The D.O.T. - 'And That' (Full Album Stream)
After keeping a close eye on the Rob Harvey and Mike Skinner project, The D.O.T., today marks the release of their debut full-length titled And That. I'm currently on spin number three of the entire album and simply can't get enough of it. There's this delicate balance between Skinner's beats roughhousing with my ear drums and Harvey's vocals making a punching bag out of my heart throughout the course of the record that keeps me connected and in tune with their whole vibe in a way that I haven't felt about a new album in months. Not to mention that the subtle changes to songs like "And A Hero", "Like You Used To" and "You Never Asked" were all the right choices as they take the tracks to a whole new level.
Don't take my word for it, have a listen to the album in its entirety below. Make sure you grab it on iTunes if you like it.
[Watch] Placebo - "B3" (Official Video)
Sit back and let Placebo transport you back to the 90's with their new track titled "B3" taken from a forthcoming EP of the same name. Check out the dark and dingy video up above but the EP is available now digitally via Universal Music but it's not going to be released physically until November 13th.
The band are planning to release a new album, their seventh, some time in 2013 but this will do as a nice little taste of what's to come from the legendary band.
[Download] Alpines - "Chances" (Cyril Hahn Remix)
The talented hands of Cyril Hahn have manipulated a track titled "Chances" from the UK duo Alpines. Taking the R & B feeling original and spacing it out into a more easy going track in a way. It's still a great listen but equally downbeat given the topic of the song. See what you make of it below and have an early morning Monday listen.
[Watch] Dead Sons - "Hangman" (Official Video)
I remember being in secondary school and there being two bands everyone would want to go jump on a train to see every so often. One was Arctic Monkeys, the other was another Sheffield band that went by the name of Milburn who actually went their separate ways back in 2008 and I hadn't thought much of it until the other day. An email arrived in the inbox regarding a band called Dead Sons which actually has a couple of the old Milburn boys in it. They even supported Arctics last year at their huge homecoming shows at Don Valley Bowl in 2011 and have released a few tracks here and their but are preparing the release of a debut album ,The Hollers and the Hymn, early next year.
Today we can sample a track from that release in a desert rock filled chug of brilliance called "Hangman" which sounds like it was crafted out at Joshua Tree. It's pretty darn impressive and I for one will definitely be keeping a close eye on these guys. The video is a flash of dark and creepy goings on too to enjoy that a top. Let us know what you make of them too!
