[Watch] Stars - "Backlines" (Official Video)
Apparently Canadian indie rockers Stars were the victims of the comedic antics of Rick Moranis, as they take to the stage in the vide for "Backlines". It's no ordinary stage, though, as the now-shrunken band performs on a minature stage within a steam-punk style store display. They better have gotten a decent paycheck for this performance. Watch the replay above via RollingStone.
Stars' latest LP The North is out now via ATO Records.
[Watch] Action Bronson - "The Symbol" (Official Video)
Action Bronson is known for his off-kilter sense of humor, and it shows in his music as well as his videos. The visuals for "The Symbol" pay homage to the action heroes of the '70s, the Steve McQueen's and the Clint Eastwood's of yore. Donning a golden blonde wig, Bronson delivers badass one-liners and swings his fists without mercy. He is the new generation of the badass motherfuckin' action hero.
Action Bronson and The Alchemist's collab mixtape Rare Chandeliers, which includes "The Symbol", is out later this month.
[Watch] Sigur Rós – "Varðeldur" (Official Video)
Despite the competition aspect coming to a close with the winning video for "Fjögur píanó", Sigur Rós' "Valtari Mystery Film Experiment" continues with a new video from director Clare Langan. Differing from the possessed nature of Melika Bass' visuals for "Varðeldur", Langan's take uses a high speed camera to full effect in an attempt to capture the "fragility of the human condition, frozen somewhere between life and death". She goes further to say, "[t]here is no clear distinction between dream and reality and the space that the film and the music create becomes a submersive world". Watch the video above.
The "Valtari Mystery Film Experiment" continues until December 17th, and head here to watch the previously released contributions.
[Watch] P.O.S. feat. Mike Mictlan - "Get Down" (Official Video)
P.O.S.'s video for "Get Down" has one thing to say: no matter who you are or where you're from, everyone can get down to the Minneapolis rapper's beats. People from all walks of life get together to dance their asses off in the presence of P.O.S. and Mike Mictlan, with everyone putting their best moves to the test. Watch the replay above.
The latest LP from P.O.S., We Don't Even Live Here, is out today via Rhymesayers Entertainment, and, in case you haven't heard, the rapper has postponed his North American tour due to a sudden need for a kidney transplanet. The Doomtree family have are asking for PayPal donations, which can be sent to stefneedsanewkidney@gmail.com. Make sure to show your support.
