[Download] Mixtape of Samples used on Kendrick Lamar's 'good kid, m.A.A.d. city'
Kendrick Lamar's major label debut good kid, m.A.A.d. city has been sifting through our eardrums for a few days now, and it becomes apparent that the Compton rapper uses a diverse array of samples going into each of his songs. Gianna Lee and Mike Blud of Babylon Cartel are making things easy for you, though, as they have put together a mixtape of the songs that Lamar sampled. Whether it's Beach House or Kanye West, Ohio Players or Janet Jackson, it's pretty clear how vast Lamar's spectrum of influence really is. Download the compilation for free here (via IllRoots).

The second sees the music blog Hard Candy tapping the Vancouver producer for the latest edition of their Hard Candy X series, resulting in an hour-long mixtape comprised of tracks that inspired Teen Daze's forthcoming album. Stream the full mix, along with "The Heart of God", below.
The Inner Mansions is out on November 6th via Lefse Records.
[Download] Angel Haze - 'Classick' (Mixtape) x "New York" (King Krule Rework)
It's fair to say Angel Haze has been making waves across the internet in recent months and she's showing no signs of slowing down and has just dropped a brand new mixtape titled Classick which you pick up a copy below. The tape sees her stepping up and reworking tracks by the likes of Eminem, Jay-Z and one I saw she was pretty nervous about on twitter, Lauryn Hill.
As well as the mixtape, King Krule has offered up a nice rework of her track "New York". He too is definitely gaining momentum at the moment. In recent months we've got to enjoy two new tracks from him in the shape of "Octopus" and "Rock Bottom", both raw yet very much repeat worthy. For his latest escapade he's taken on Angel Haze's "New York" and slowed it down a little giving it a different yet equally intriguing listen. Check it out below.
[Watch] M83 - "Steve McQueen"
A few weeks back, M83 partnered up with Genero for a video contest regarding their track "Steve McQueen". Today a winner of the competition has been announced and we can enjoy a clip from French directors Sylvain Derosne and Balthaza Auxietre. See what you make of it above. Anyone else think that this track still sounds just as fresh as when you first heard it or am I alone on that one?
[Watch] Gary Clark Jr - "Numb" x "Ain't Messin' Around" Live Fallon
We got to see Gary Clark Jr show his live chops earlier in the week with a visit to Jay Leno's late night slot but last night we got a double helping of live goodness from the talented bluesman. Dropping in on the studios of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon he performed "Ain't Messin' Around" again but added to that a nice rendition of "Numb". You can re-watch the performances above and below courtesy of The Audio Perv.
Blak and Blu is out now via Warner Bros.

[Listen] The Weeknd - "Enemy"
Well this is a very nice Friday morning treat to wake up to, and it's also a little confusing. The Weeknd is preparing to release Trilogy which is set to drop on November 13th and will come packaged with 3 brand new tracks. However last night he took to twitter and unleashed a new track titled "Enemy" and it's not one of the aforementioned three to appear on the upcoming release?! Does this mean we have something larger to look forward to in the near future? We can dream, right.... He did tweet: "I'm about to unleash the vault...", take that how you will.
For now listen to the great sounding guitar tinged track "Enemy" that does indeed reference The Smiths' "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want" up at the top. You can pre-order Trilogy over here.
[Listen] JAWS - "Surround You"
Humbling from Birmingham, JAWS are making a bit of noise down in that part of the UK. With that in mind they've offered up a newly recorded track titled "Surround You" which is perfect for forgetting the ever darkening sky outside your window. However grey it may be outside these guys manage to make it a little brighter with lyrics about the sun burning their eyes I only wish I could say the same. But hey, if you can take 4 minutes from your day and let these boys take you there instead, why not!
It'll be release digitally on the 3rd of December Via Rattlepop
[Watch] Maigret Jr - "Waiting For The Guns" (Official Video)
Taking a big bassy backdrop, today we can enjoy the track "Waiting For The Guns" from Maigret Jr which is taken from his Sick Friends EP. Pairing together that bass with a deep and lingering vocal, the track is a dark and haunting throb that had me bopping along at my desk. Speaking of bopping, the video sits pretty well alongside the track and features two young lads boxing the lights out of each other, ducking and weaving 'til their hearts are content.
The Sick Friends EP out now on Make Mine.
