[Watch] The Antlers - "Drift Drive" (Official Video)
The Antlers plunge into the serene depths of the ocean in their new video for "Drift Drive", a literal interpretation for the Undersea EP track. While the timing may not be the best (Hurricane Sandy, anyone?), the video finds meaning in its beautiful tranquility, something that can be greatly apprecaited from time to time. Watch it above, and if you've yet to hear the full EP, do yourself a favor and pick it up as soon as you can.
[Download] Future Unlimited - "Haunted Love"
Future Unlimited add a tinge of '80s synthpop to your otherwise spooky Halloween celebrations, with the Día de los Muertos-inspired "Haunted Love". While not outright fear-inducing, the song carries an atmospheric weight of uneasiness, as moody synthesizers and brash percussion swarm your eardrums. This one will be perfect for any moody Halloween party. Download the song below.
[Listen] The Gaslight Anthem - "Skinny Love" (Bon Iver Cover)
There's been plenty of Bon Iver covers over the years and we can add another to the list. Another brilliant one in fact and it comes from The Gaslight Anthem in the shape of "Skinny Love" which featured on Bon Iver's debut album Forever Emma, Forever Ago. Brian puts his husky vocals to good use adding a new sound to a modern classic. The cover is set to be featured on the band's upcoming Black Friday Record Store Day exclusive Hold You Up EP. We're very much looking forward to that and Black Friday as a whole which takes place on November 23rd.
[Listen] Crystal Castles - "Affection"
Recently I've heard Crystal Castles being mentioned a lot and because of that I've delved into their back catalogue for a listen, it was nice yesterday to see some brand new material surface online from their new album III. Titled "Affection" it follows up the previously heard "Wrath of God" and "Plague" and you can stream it below.
Their album is set for release digitally on November 5th and physically on November 6th.
[Watch] Hawk Eyes - "Kiss This" (Official Video)
Hawk Eyes brought out the brilliantly riff heavy sophomore album Ideas at the start of the year and I've been blasting it regularly ever since and rumour has it they're going to begin recording some new material very soon. First though they've gone and found some time to record a video for the track "Kiss This". It takes place in a lift, yes a lift. Imagine dragging your tired ass to work one morning, hitting the button for the lift to go and sit at your desk at a job you don't want to do to find these guys rocking out at a deafening volume. It'd be bloody fantastic!
If you like what you see/hear I highly recommend you check the lads out on tour while you can. They have a fair few left this year including Damnation Fest in a few days and two months of dates with Therapy?

[Watch] Vampire Weekend - "Unbelievers" Live on Kimmel
Well isn't this a delightful treat midway through the week? We've not really heard much of anything from Vampire Weekend in a good while but that changed last night. Being Halloween, the band donned ghoulish make-up on a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on which they debuted a brand new track for us all *cue raucous applause*. Titled "Unbelievers" it's a great sounding fresh taste of what's to come from the New Yorkers in the year to come. Check it out above courtesy of The Audio Perv.
[Watch] Willy Moon - "Yeah Yeah" (Official Video)
A few weeks back we got to enjoy Willy Moon put in an eye popping performance on Later... with Jools Holand for his track "Yeah Yeah" and today we get an equally attention grabbing video for it. Directed by the talented Alex Courtès, who directed the iconic video for The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army", he adds a symmetrical room full of dancers to the mix with Willy taking centre stage strutting his stuff. It's quite brilliant and actually kind of looks like a Jack White video in its colour pallet, fitting in with Jack's recent blue aesthetic following the release of Blunderbuss.
So it seems fitting that he is also supporting Jack White on his current UK jaunt. Dates below.
Jack White UK tour 2012:
02/11 - Alexandra Palace - London
04/11 - Bridlington Spa Theatre & Royal Hall - Bridlington
06/11 - Blackpool Empress Ballroom Arena - Blackpool
07/11 - O2 Acadamy - Birmingham
08/11 - Usher Hall - Edinburgh
[Listen] Polly Scattergood - "Disco Damaged Kid"
I'm sure we've all had a night out where we may of had a little too much to drink or whatever and have dance ourselves to near exhaustion and I think this track's title fits that bill perfectly. "Disco Damaged Kid" is the new single from Polly Scattergood which come on, it's got to be one of the best track names I've heard this year. The song is a nice preview of where she's headed with her new album that will be released in 2013 via Mute. We look forward to hearing the growth in her new album and where the next year will take her. See what you make of the track below and let us know.
