[Listen] Theme Park - "Bloodbuzz Ohio" (The National Cover)

As we mentioned at the end of September, Theme Park are preparing to release an EP package in November via Transgressive. On the EP they take on Jessie Ware's "Wildest Moments", The National's "Bloodbuzz Ohio" and Hot Chips dance inducing track, "Ready For The Floor". Today though we can enjoy their revamp of The National's High Violet featuring track and the two seem to fit together really nicely giving it a different feel. Really enjoying a bit of Theme Park at the moment. If you missed the track "Two Hours" from them, check it out over here.

The EP is set for release on the 25th of November and you can pre-order it here.

[Watch] Di'zain - "Play The Game"

A few days ago I got an email shot across to me which intrigued me a little more than others and that was because it talked about our soft spot for Jessie Ware. It then went on to point us in the direction of another female called Di'zain who makes some wonderful sounding songs. Soft yet full frontal in its dancey beat, the sultry vocal of this track entices you to stick around throughout. Her debut single, "Play The Game", is up for free download here if you like the pop sounds that fill your ears above.

[Watch] Mumford & Sons - "Lover of the Light" (Official Video)

Mumford & Sons have been launched into the stratosphere of success this year with the release of their album Babel. They're now playing arenas the world over and with that comes a bit of a larger budget for your video. Case in point, for their track "Lover of the Light" they've enrolled the talented acting and directing skills of Idris Elba. He seems to capture the emotion of the track in his performance and you can peep it for yourselves at the top.

[Watch] The Killers - "Miss Atomic Bomb"

It's been pretty hard to escape the sound of The Killers in recent months following the release of their album Battle Born. I'm still not fully sold on the band anymore. Don't get me wrong, they know how to make a catchy hook as well as the next radio friendly indie band, I've just not been able to love an album as much as Hott Fuss from them. They've been touring relentlessly since the release of the album though and the video for "Miss Atomic Bomb" sees some backstage shots and live clips from their UK tour being stitched together to sit along side the track. Give it a watch at the top.

[Download] Chromatics - 'Running From the Sun'

Chromatics' member Johnny Jewel has a pleasant surprise for everyone out there that loved their latest LP Kill for Love with 35 minutes of unreleased material from the album. Containing eight songs recorded from November 2009 to December 2011, Running From the Sun is what Jewel describes as the result of being "[j]et lagged & buzzing from Friday’s show in Paris..." He continues, saying:

I couldn’t sleep…so I stayed up all night with Oko talking about color based dreams while blending these tracks together. Since the album came out, a lot of people on the road have been telling us they are curious to hear some of the unreleased music from the Kill For Love sessions…Recorded November 2009 through December 2011, these songs were all mixed between 4 & 6 a.m. After hours of tracking at the studio in Montreal, we’d clear the channels on the mixer, open a bottle of wine, & feel around in the dark…working our way through the atmospheric elements & peeling back layers of rhythm…throwing the songs into the abstract pile & playing them while driving home in the snow. In Amsterdam right now trying to upload it from the hotel. Fingers crossed…"

[News] Foals Announce New Album, Release Lead Single "Inhaler"

Foals are back, following up 2010's Antidote with a new LP set for release in February of next year. Entitled Holy Fire, the album sees the band taking their brand of rock in a "swampy" direction, and the lead single "Inhaler" is a definite example of this. With a dirty, funky bassline, the song builds into a catchy and anthemic rock number. The cut is also accompanied by some visuals, which sees what seems like a flash mob dancing passionately in an abandoned building. Check it out below.

Holy Fire is out on February 13th on Sub Pop.
