[Listen] Alt-J - "Buffalo" Feat. Mountain Man
I can honestly say that this year I have mostly been listening to Alt-J. Seriously I can't get enough of these guys. Their album An Awesome Wave is still getting weekly plays from myself and today I was very pleased to see a brand new track has surfaced online. It's featured in the latest Bradley Cooper film Silver Linings Playbook and is titled "Buffalo". The track is very much Alt-J but also features a helping hand from Mountain Man who you may remember backed up Feist late last year. The track was premiered via Entertainment Weekly yesterday you can give it a spin for yourselves below.
If you haven't already, go pick up a copy of their Mercury Prize winning album, An Awesome Wave, over here.

Sufjan Stevens is giving us all an early gift from Santa today with a video for "I'll Be Home For Christmas" which features on his huge Christmas collection Silver & Gold: Songs for Christmas Volumes 6-10. It's a monsterous compilation which is out now via Asthmatic Kitty. I'm completely over being a grinch now and the lights in Manchester *kind of* put me in half a good mood on a daily basis. I'm also pretty excited to get my drink on with some mulled wine once the market opens, so let's keep the good vibes flowing with this video. Hit play on it above and join me in the festive spirit.

[Listen] Trent Reznor - 'Call of Duty: Black Ops II' Theme
I may joke about it but tomorrow, and in fact right now, people are queuing up for a highly anticipated computer game; Call of Duty: Black Ops II. You might of heard of it and chances are at some point since you first played a Playstation/Xbox or whatever console you had growing up, you've played one of its younger brothers. Maybe you even saw the Robert Downey Jr starring trailer for this new game not too long ago. With the game though comes a rather nice added bonus for music fans. Trent Reznor has provided the instrumental theme for the game in between releasing the new How to destroy angels_ and supposedly working on new NIN material. Props to him for fitting it all in. So, if you're not one of those people camped outside waiting to get your grubby mitts on the game hit play and enjoy a taste of some music you're likely to be hearing a lot in the next few months once you purchase the game.
[Watch x News] Sigur Rós - "Valtari", Announce New EP & North American Tour
Today we get to enjoy another video from Sigur Rós in from their ongoing "Valtari Mystery Film Experiment" from which we've already seen numerous videos for the likes of "Dauðalogn", "Varðeldur" "Fjögur píanó", and "Rembihnútur". In fact there's too many to list, and the project continues until December 17th, jump over here to watch the aforementioned contributions and more. Up above though you can check out the latest clip which comes from Swedish director Christian Larson who told Nowness she "wanted to try and make a dialogue through movement, without anyone saying anything". See what you make of it.
Now along with the clip, the band have just announced a string of North American Tour dates set for 2013 all of which can be found over here. Ticket holders will also get a digital copy of a three-track EP, containing new and unreleased music dropping on March 22nd. If that wasn't enough they also debuted a brand new track titled "Brennisteinn" at their first show in Iceland in over 4 years. You can enjoy that below. Phew. I think that should keep fans happy for the foreseeable future.
[Listen] HAIM - "Send Me Down"
I bloody love Mondays. Not really, but some new music usually snaps me out of the blues and today that new music comes from HAIM. The band, made up of three sisters, have unleashed a new track today titled "Send Me Down" and it's a dance inducing thump of sporadic pop to help put anyone in a slightly brighter mood. It's also extremely nice to have some new material from the girls after we've been left to brood over their Forever EP for quite some time now.
Hit play below and cheer up, it's not all bad. We're still awaiting news of a full-length, but when we hear about it you'll be the first to know.
