[Watch] Hawk Eyes - "Witch Hunt" (Official Video)
Hawk Eyes have been a firm personal favourite of mine ever since I first heard their album Modern Bodies a few years back. Then they followed that up at the start of 2012 with Ideas, an album that's had heavy play from me all year. It's now rolling on to December and they're showing no signs of slowing down as they've released the video for album highlight, "Witch Hunt", just now via NME. You can catch the video up at the top.
The single will be released on the 3rd of December and you can catch the band on tour with Therapy right now around the UK. You'd be a fool to miss it as they've stated it's the last time they'll be performing for a while. Dates can be found over here along with their video for "Kiss This". Turn it up loud.
[Watch] Hot Chip - "Don't Deny Your Heart" (Official Video)
Hot Chip have once again enrolled the talents of Peter Serafinowicz who's worked with he band on numerous projects in the past not to mention some hilarious sketch shows of his own, for their new video to "Don't Deny Your Heart". The video sees the boys playing on some FIFA like game on the tour bus and it's damn funny watching. It even involves a weird dance off featuring a hundred golden men too. It's a lot to take it. Check it out at the top of the page and be sure to pick up In Our Heads which is out now.
[Watch] Tame Impala - "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" Live on Jools Holand
Tame Impala performed another track on the extended Friday edition of Later... With Jools Holland following up their great performance of "Elephant" earlier in the week. This time we get to enjoy "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" from their album Lonerism too and it was just as great a way to end a week as it is to start one so hit play and check it out up at the top. Happy Monday.
[Watch] Biffy Clyro - "Black Chandelier" x "Opposites" Live on Jools Holland
Last Tuesday evening we got to enjoy Biffy Clyro drop by for the first broadcast of Later... with Jools Holland and they performed recent single "Stingin' Belle". On Friday the band performed another two songs from their forthcoming album Opposites. They performed the newly unveiled "Black Chandelier" and the double LP's title track "Opposites". A slower number that tugs on the heart strings a little. You can check that out after the jump with the new single "Black Chandelier" up at the top.
The band are set to embark upon an arena tour in 2013 following the release of their album on January the 28th.

[Watch] Check Out Neon Indian's Animated Short Film
It was recently reported that Alan Palomo, the frontman of Neon Indian, was commissioned by the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art to create an animated short film, and now you can watch the fruits of his labor. Entitled "Outer Osmo Ghost Mode", the film centers on how technology has impacted the relationships we have with other people.
Focusing on two avatars named Elda and Dell Banner, the film explores our relationships within the digital space and how social networking and technology have shaped the ways in which we interact. Palomo uses the music as an extension of the plot, evoking these complex transformations through sound. The result is music that has endured "eras of digital degradation and (coming) off distorted, distant, and otherwise anachronistic." Watch the full short film above.
[Listen] The Neighbourhood - "Let It Go"
We here at SKOA have been fans of The Neighbourhood from the get-go (how could you not be with a song called "Sweater Weather"?), and things are coming together nicely for the band. First, they re-released their debut EP and now they've signed to Columbia Records with a full album in the works. "Let It Go" is the first new material from the band since signing to Columbia, and they're clearly not fucking around. Serving as the b-side to the upcoming 7" single "Thank You", "Let It Go" has a tinge of hip-hop to it, whether it's in the instrumentals or the psuedo-rap stylings of Jesse James Rutherford. In the end, it all works surprisingly well. Check it out below.
[Watch] Big Boi feat. Kelly Rowland - "Mama Told Me" (Video)
Big Boi and Kelly Rowland delve into the neon '80s aesthetic in the video for "Mama Told Me", with vibrant colors and flashing lights in full supply. Rowland herself is the true standout, though, because, well, who doesn't want to see her in booty shorts and a blonde wig? 31-years-old and she's still as beautiful as ever. Check out the video above.
Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, Big Boi's sophomore solo album, is set for release on December 11th via Purple Ribbon/Def Jam.
[Listen] SHINIES - "Ribbons"
We introduced you to SHINIES not too long ago via their single and video for "Ennui". A video which featured childhood hero Pat Sharp too! Today though we don't have a video, just a slice of melodic guitar pop to enjoy in the shape of "Ribbons" which is a digital bonus track. Check it out in all its sunny glory below.
If you like what you hear head over to their official website and you can grab a free download too. Wonderful.
