[Listen] A$AP Rocky - "1Train" Feat. Kendrick Lamar, Yelawolf, Joey Bada$$, Danny Brown, Action Bronson & Big K.R.I.T.
So last night A$AP Rocky's highly anticipated album LongLiveASAP leaked and my twitter feed was pretty much just full of people critiquing it. Prior to the full leak though a track that features Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Danny Brown, Yelawolf, Action Bronson and B.I.G. Krit titled "1Train" hit the net. To add to the melting pot the track was produced by Hit-Boy. It's basically 2012 in a nutshell. Stream it below via Youtube.
LongLiveASAP is officially released on January 15th via ASAP Worldwide/Polo Grounds/RCA.
[Watch] Peace - "Wraith" (Official Video)
Peace are looking like they're going to have a strong 2013 after being placed in the long list for BBC’s Sound of 2013 poll. With that in mind they've kept the ball rolling at a quickening pace with an official visual for their track "Wraith". The Birmingham band enrol the skills of two strippers for the clip so it is kinda NSFW with some flashes of flesh here and there. No worse than any Rihanna/Gaga video though in all honesty.
[Listen] Foals - "My Number"
I'm gonna go and stick my neck out here and say that Foals last track "Inhaler" is in my top five for 2012. Maybe second in fact only to Arctic Monkeys' "R U Mine"... Seriously it's just great from start to finish and that riff. YES.
Their follow up is however a little different however but who says that's a bad thing? Titled "My Number" it seems a little bit more like Foals of yesteryear with it's jittery guitar lines. Check it out below and prepare yourself for their new album Holy Fire that drops on February 11th.
[Watch] Ryan Adams - "Shine Through The Dark" Love on Conan
It was a busy night on the late night TV circuit last night but we're definitely not complaining. Ryan Adams and his trusty acoustic guitar were the performer of choice of Conan and he brought along with him a track that he wrote for Judd Apatow’s This is 40. Check out the performance above courtesy of The Audio Perv.
[Watch] DIIV - "Doused" Live on Letterman
DIIV put in a dreamy performance on the Late Show with David Letterman last night of their track "Doused". It marked their TV debut and you can check out the four piece strutting their stuff at the top courtesy of The Audio Perv
Oshin is out now.
[Watch] Willy Moon - "Yeah Yeah" Live on Leno
The talented and arguably best dressed man of the moment Willy Moon made his US television debut on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno earlier in the week. As always he put in a high energy performance that demands your attention and the track in question was his highly infectious single "Yeah Yeah". Very excited to see more of him in 2013. If you are too why not check out his newly announced live dates here.
Thanks to The Audio Perv for the video support as always.
[Watch] Jessie Ware - "Sweet Talk" (Video)
Jessie Ware brightens up the week with one of the sweetest and most charming things this time of year aside from Christmas, as the video for her newest single "Sweet Talk" places her in the shoes of her younger self. Directed by Kate Moross, the grade school Ware hits the recording studio, eats a packed lunch with her sound engineer/guitarist, and performs in front of a (very small) live audience.
[Watch] Toro Y Moi - "So Many Details" (Video)
Chaz Bundick, aka Toro Y Moi, dons the dapper clothing and lavish lifestyle of an upper middle-class man, with the dreamy R&B sounds of "So Many Details" encompassing the visuals. As the video progresses, Bundick and his female companion trade forlorn looks with each other and the camera. Check out the many details of their relationship in the player above.
