[Watch] LULS - "Never Let It Go" (Official Video)

We introduced you to London trio LULS via a Spector remix late last year. Today though how about we straight up listen to one of their tracks? Here's the video for "Never Let It Go" full of soaring vocals and off-kilter beats. The video is a little left field as well but sent my head into a bit of a spin with all of its colours and changing landscapes. The track though, that's a goodie.

[Watch] Thumpers - "Dancing's Done" (Official Video)

Being January, everyone seems to be on a health kick, me included and with that comes an all new reason to do anything but healthy things and my procrastination levels are higher than ever. Today's distraction from work seems to be lots of new music in the inbox. More so than normal. It could be to do with me still catching up on emails since getting back from the States but hey, I'm enjoying it. This track and video comes from a London-duo who go by the name Thumpers. It's quite simply glorious for a Wednesday afternoon treat. Distant layered vocals meet dreamy guitar sounds to warp into a beautiful track titled "Dancing's Done". It's set to be their first single and will be released on February 4th via paradYse/Kissability. The video matches up nicely to the dreamy sound with a trippy, kaleidoscopic take. I particularly like the overdriven guitar tone in the middle. Check it out above.

Four Tet has made a habit (a good habit at that) of gathering previously unreleased material or limited releases into lengthy compilations. [Album Stream] Hear Pillowfight (Dan The Automator x Emily Wells x Kid Koala) Self Titled Debut LP

Sorry for the recent leave of absence from the SKOA scene. I've been working on some personal as well as other SKOA projects for this year. For those who enjoyed the Beats For Daze series, no worries! It will be back real soon. But speaking of beats for days, one of my favorite producers Dan The Automator (producer of Gorillaz S/T album, Deltron 3030 and Handsome Boy Modelling School) is back with his latest project Pillowfight featuing singer songwriter Emily Wells and frequent collaborator DJ Kid Koala.

A couple of months back, we debuted the first cut from the group titled "In The Afternoon" but now thanks to the folks of at the Huffington Post, you can hear the groups debut LP in full a week ahead of its release. Check it out and make sure you pick it up next Tuesday when it release. Automator always makes some good tunage.

[News] André 3000 Clears Up Rumors of OutKast "Reunion"

Last week, Big Boi dropped a remix of Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter" that included a lengthy verse from the rapper. The obvious excitement stemming from the remix was the fact that the original song featured André 3000, spouting rumors of a possible OutKast reunion. Who wouldn't be excited about this prospect? Apparently André. Today, he issued a statement to SPIN, saying:

It’s important for me to be clear about the origins of my contributions to ‘Pink Matter’ and ‘Sorry.'

I was approached as a solo artist by both Frank Ocean & Tip. I discussed musical direction with each artist and completed my verses. It was after that when Big Boi’s name came up.

I never want to mislead our audience – I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank and T.I. and everyone agreed. That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes.

I understand that anyone can put out an unofficial remix to any song but I have an obligation to be honest with fans about what this is … and what it isn’t."

The statement fits with André's issues with featuring Big Boi on the commercial version of "Pink Matter". In a similar situation, Big Boi has mentioned a future remix of T.I.'s "Sorry", which also featured André. Big Boi has yet to comment on the statement, but, in the meantime, we can all enjoy the greatness of the "Pink Matter" remix. Stream it below.
