[Watch] Queens of the Stone Age - "My God is the Sun" (New Song Debuted at Lollapalooza Brazil)
They say today is a celebration for the resurrection of Jesus Christ after he was crucified. That's one belief. I can respect that. Others may celebrate the fact they'll get given a crap tonne of egg shaped chocolate from numerous family members and friends, or maybe even from some fictitious fluffy rabbit. If you're into that kind of thing, I can respect that too.
I however will be celebrating the return of Queens of the Stone Age, who have debuted brand new material at Lollapalooza Brazil. Hell yeah. Titled "My God is the Sun", it sees Josh Homme and co also introduce Jon Theodore from The Mars Volta & One Day As A Lion behind the drum kit. It's got to be said that Jon does have some pretty big shoes to fill but he absolutely owns it here. The track itself has soaring choruses and all kinds of time signature trickery. It's perfect Easter Sunday listening and it won't damage your waistline unlike all that chocolate you no doubt have staring at you from across the room right now.
The track is likely to appear on the newly announced follow up to Era Vulgaris from the band, ...Like Clockwork. It's due out in June via the band's new label Matador Records. Hat tip to the guys who are always one step ahead with the QOTSA news and goodies, of course I'm talking about Antiquiet.
[SKOA Premiere] Track-By-Track Through Biffy Clyro's New Album, 'Opposites' (Final Part)
All week we've been getting some exclusive videos from Scottish band Biffy Clyro in which they've been talking through their new album Opposites. We've already seen Simon, James and Ben talk about "The Thaw", "A Girl and His Cat", "Accident Without Emergency", and "Spanish Radio". Today we get their opinions and thoughts on album closer, "Picture A Knife Fight". You can check out the video clip above along with streaming the track in full below. I've had this album on repeat for months and it's the gift that just keeps on giving. Seriously.
Opposites is out now and we suggest you pick up a copy of it over here. The band are currently on a headline UK and Ireland tour and will soon be heading out on the road with Muse in North America come April. If you're Stateside, go check them out as you'll be seeing two of Britain's best live acts in one fantastic show.
[Listen] Stream Yeah Yeah Yeahs New Cut "Under the Earth"
The New York Times digs into the history of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in a newly published editorial, but what's more the editorial included a premiere of a brand new track from the New York outfit. Titled "Under the Earth", the cut steps away from the gospel rock of "Sacrilege" and moves into slippery funk basslines and spacey synthesizers. It's a grimy track fit for a night on the town. Stream it here.
Mosquito, the band's fourth studio LP, is out on April 16th. Check out the tracklisting below.

[Watch] Vampire Weekend Perform Three New Tracks Live
Vampire Weekend performed in New York City last night, recording the mini concert especially for Canada's QTV. During the performance, Ezra Keonig and co. played three songs from their upcoming album Modern Vampires of the City, including "Diane Young", "Unbelievers" and "Ya Hey". You can find the first at 6:20 in the first video, while the latter two can be heard at the 19:09 and 43:44 marks of the second video. If that's not enough to satisfy, band members Ezra and Rostam Batmanglij took part in an interview with Q host Jian Ghomeshi.
[Album Stream] Tyler, The Creator - 'Wolf'
Some savvy listeners may already have their hands on the leaked version of Tyler, The Creator's upcoming album Wolf, but for the legal-oriented folks out there the LP is up on SoundCloud to stream in full. Tyler has brought on a good amount of guest talent for this one, including Odd Future members Frank Ocean, Domo Genesis, Left Brain, Hodgy Beats and Earl Sweatshirt along with Erykah Badu, Pharrell and more. Check it out below (via Odd Future's Tumblr).
Wolf is out on April 2nd.
[Watch] Tyler, The Creator's Video for "IFHY"
Never short of fucked up, weird ideas, Tyler, The Creator enters the body of a Ken doll in his video for "IFHY". His creepy plastic face and blank stare is enough to churn the toughest of stomachs. The final minute shifts focus to Hodgy Beats and Tyler driving around the suburbs, running over dolls and rapping to another Wolf cut titled "Jamba". Check out the two-part clip above.
Wolf is out on April 2nd.
[Watch] Passion Pit - "Cry Like a Ghost" (Official Video)
Passion Pit continue their support of last year's Gossamer, dancing through a girl's relationships in the video for "Cry Like a Ghost". That's exactly how directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert described the clip: "The idea is this girl is dancing through her relationships… we’re trying to show how messy, confusing, funny, and sad and weird that is." The two employ some pretty cool techniques that make for well-made visual tale. Check it out above along with a making-of video below.
[SKOA Premiere] Track-By-Track Through Biffy Clyro's New Album, 'Opposites' (Part Four)
This week we've been treating you guys to some interesting bits of video from Biffy Clyro, in which they talk us through their fantastic new double LP, Opposites. Today is no different and following videos about "The Thaw", "A Girl and His Cat", and "Accident Without Emergency" we today get a look at what the band have to say about the rather intriguing sounding "Spanish Radio". The track itself is one that'll grab your attention immediately when you hear the album, what with it featuring a mariachi band! They talk about the difficulties the guest musicians had with the timings and of drinking plenty of tequila after recording. Along with that you can stream the track in full below to see what they're talking about with a little more context. We'll have our final part of this series coming tomorrow, so keep your eyes pointed towards SKoA.
Opposites is out now and you can pick up a copy over here. The band are currently on a headline UK and Ireland tour and will soon be heading out on the road with Muse in North America come April.
